What's the best way to get a Series X then? was doubtful about going next gen, but seeing my mates play Destiny 2 last night in full 4k and switch then between that and other games has changed my mind!

Any good tracker sites or rumours etc?

There's a thread on HUKD with links to a Discord which sends notifications out when stock comes in. Or there's @PA_Console on Twitter. I found the Discord more reliable though. The Twitter accounts mostly seems to generate Amazon Germany, France, and Spain links and missed a bunch of UK stock today.

Getting a Series X won't be easy though. Stock disappears in seconds.

Is it worth going from xbone x to series s?

Yeah I did this, The S is so much faster. The menu, store, updates, downloads and loading games is just a much more enjoyable experience. The SSD and CPU make it a night and day difference.

Under load it uses a lot less power than the Xbox One X, and Xbox Series X so your saving power too xD

Wonder why there's so much Series S available in regular intervals where the X hasn't been since at some places since November. MS were supposed to be making more X than S.

Presumably Series S demand is only a little higher than forecast, while Series X demand is much higher than forecast?

eBay listing support this somewhat; Series X is selling in the £650-£700 range, while Series S is going for ~£300 (with some units even selling below MSRP). PS5 is even worse than XSX!

How're everyone's consoles behaving at almost a month after launch? Anyone had a duff one or bricked theirs?

Mine's not missed a beat, as near silent as I'd hoped even under heavier load titles (inaudible unless I put my ear to it), had the odd crash to desktop but no more or less than my previous one x. I'm enjoying the controller and so far have been using it instead of my elite v1 which surprised me - it feels a little more comfortable and I like the textured triggers.

Load times really are a revelation, I've not really been using quick resume as every game I've played takes about 20 to 30 seconds to get back to my current save anyway.!

My only niggle which they need to sort out - it seems movie discs spin needlessly quickly when playing meaning audible drive noise during quiet moments in films, as my only option for 4k bluray a patch for this would be nice.

Overrall a stunning piece of engineering and in my view £450 very well spent :D

I had a One X and got a Series S. Most One games performed worse as they use the base One S versions of the game but everything with patches for Series S/X looks way better, even though it runs at a lower resolution.

The frame rate and loading improvements alone are worth the upgrade.

The S will be getting much higher GPU yields and is far easier to mass produce.

Zero problems on either of my consoles, but the new Elite controller has some serious design flaws compared to the original.

Fault free so far and runs great. However given I have only set it up, downloaded a ton of games and played an hour or two on Valhalla before packing it up I cant really say as to its reliability or faults. :p

Working like a charm, fingers crossed. Went a little crazy after an update, but a hold down of the button and restart fixed it. It’s had a fair few long sessions. Only one hard lock with AC. Unexpectedly I’m having the most fun with the back compat games, I.e. Halo.

No issues with my series x. I still can't believe how quiet it is. I've also noticed when it's in standby mode its pretty much silent unlike my ps5 which is annoying.

Yes for new games, no if you want to play through the back catalogue as hardly anything has been enhanced so it plays the one s version which looks terrible if you are used to the one x enhanced versions.

It does load games a lot quicker though and will be better in the long run. I haven't really used mine much recently as I'm hoping some more games on gamepass receive updates.

Just trying Call of the Sea, enhanced for series X but garbage performance again for a brand new title, frame pacing is terrible.

Really starting to lose faith in the console at this point after it being hyped up so much, PS5 seems to just be having a generally better time overall.
