Quick resume is literally the best thing about the Series X. You are playing a game within seconds. It is brilliant!

Working my way to re-up 50! Currently 43 or 44 iirc.

What do you play? I've mastered every horde map multiple times and working my way through Escape maps on masters. I have about 12 to do. I play a lot of arcade too, none of that gnasher bouncing crap. I don't think many people here play it. Once I've mastered the last escape maps I can do the campaign on Insane and then I will get the seriously achievement.

Only just started, versus is really hard, so I feel horde is the easiest way to get XP
 
Owt decent next gen games to play?

Played AC Valhalla on launch, for the last few weeks have been replaying DA Origins using backward compat which has been flawless.

fancy something new, owt decent added to game pass?

My recent game pass games played:

Titanfall 2 was a blast.
State of Decay 2 if that’s your sort of thing.
FH4 is stunning.
Halo MCC backcompat is fantastic.
Gears 5 has been enhanced brilliantly.
Hellblade is incredibly immersive.
Plague Tale had me hooked.
The Medium, was slow, tense, great visuals, interesting story.

Outer Worlds has been good so far - a league ahead of PC with auto HDR.

I may well look at DA Origins again. Loved that game.

In what way? It's by far the best Horde yet and Escape is absolutely fantastic and rock hard. The versus I'm not a huge fan of it anymore because the fanbase won't allow it to change, so you're left with this outdated game mode from 2007 and very few players. It's pretty much a pve game now.

People say this, but having played them all it still feels like a gears game to me with a few new features. They’ve worked wonders with the engine. I loved Gears 5, especially the DLC.

Single player sorry. Just felt a bit of a chore to play

if you want the DLC you will have to buy the ultimate disc version for the 360 and install and play off disk two only.

Cheers for list, think I will give Hellblade a looking at as well as a few others.

Ah yeah I think it's garbage, but then most of them are when you compare them to other campaigns released around the same time. I saw the picture someone posted of 4k hivebusters campaign on their tv and it looks glorious and colourful, but gears campaigns were dark and gritty. It's lost it's soul as a single player game. 4 and 5 are easily the worst Single player experiences. 5 was like a terrible shot at a half arsed open world. People liked hivebusters more as it went back to small set piece shoot outs. Neither are great.
 
How come kingdoms of amalur never got a sequel. For its time it was great, re reckoning brings it back to life but it still looks like a 360 title. Enjoying playing it again though.

I'm exactly the same, the console is so fast Im not in the slightest bothered about quick resume, I quit every game fully and have my x in energy save mode. It boots up so fast.
 
Think they should turn off instant on, wastes so much electricity. Or at least
default to it being disabled
  • Power OFF: 0.5W
  • Power “OFF” with Instant-On: 25W
