Incorrect. Log in to the Xbox app on your phone and choose “Download to console” to pre load the game. This should then pre install the game and will run when you insert the disc.

Oh yeah, just tried that. Now I have the 2nd series X upstairs. The app shows both consoles and lets you choose which one to install a game to. All pretty cool really.

Currently replaying SoD2 and Division 2 in 4k 60fps glory. Loving it.

I've had my Series X since release and have tried hard to get into console gaming. I've finally admitted defeat - I'm rubbish with controllers and don't enjoy playing most game types using one. The final straw came when I realised the console had been unused in about three weeks. It's a great piece of kit and Games Pass Ultimate is a really good service, but I guess I'm just not into games these days.

Off goes the console for a few quid less than I paid for it.

Not sure if i am just incredibly unlucky, but my THIRDS controller has now developed the sticky trigger issue.

I have had two where it has gone on the right one and this latest replacement has just started doing it on the left. Seems like lots of people are suffering from this after googling it.

Do MS have a serious design flaw on their hands here?

Cheers thought this might be the case as I had read it was possible.

Looks really good at 4k as well.

Unfortunately set up with my monitor atm, so only 1440p/60fps.

Hopefully getting a new one soon allowing me to do 1440/120 on games that have it.

Would love to have it set up on my TV at 4k, just moving it around the house daily isn't fun and yeah not buying another.

They haven't built a solid reliable controller since the 360. Xbone ones don't last, even the audio jack doesn't last 6 months. Elites are pathetic for the money. So many people/friends have had replacements already. Surely these things are stress tested for longer than a week!

I dunno the one I got with my one X is still going strong. Might just be luck though lol.

I just dont understand how such a common problem is overlooked in the design of these things? It would appear that this happens on the elites too.

How hard can it be to design it and make sure that the adhesive pad doesn't move or have the adhesive leak/move?

I'm slightly worried that my 4th (ie replacement on my second controller!) is on the way to doing it too as i can start to here it sticking slightly. It eventually gets so bad that the trigger just holds in place for a few seconds.

Ridiculous.

I had a 360 controller for windows since they came out and it was working fine up until a few months ago when i flogged it to cex.

Mine is still (I mean it hasn’t been long) going strong. Fingers crossed :p

I’ve had all the controllers from the Xbox 360 to the very latest elite controllers and all of them have lasted me a good few yrs.

Although I will admit my first elite controller fell apart after 6mths of gaming. It was an extremely shoddy design and with the elite 2 they IMO have improved it. My bumpers haven’t fallen off and neither have my grips and other than my original ver2 elite with squealy vibration motors, it was fine but still got it replaced and the second one is near perfect.

You guys are suffering from very bad luck.

Been toying over the idea of replacing my One X in the bedroom with a Series S. Went to jump on Forza yesterday morning and was tearing my hair out over how long it took to load anything - even from start up. My PS5 is my main console at the minute so going back to those load times was horrendous. We've only got a 1080p TV in the bedroom just now so is it worth getting a Series S?

I'm 99% sure that I want one but was just what you guys think? It'll scratch my Xbox itch until the Series X is more available! :D

For 1080p bedroom use yeah I'd say go for it.

Is the rumble on the pad loud for everyone or just me? I hear it over my games and its a bit distracting.
