your point was that PC is a ripoff because you can't sell on the games.
My point I that the vast majority of console game sales are digital so your point is moot. You seem to be under some impression that everyone buys physical.
For actual game sales though it's not that clear cut. It's definitely higher than it used to be but it's not necessarily higher than physical. MTX plays a huge part in it with games like FIFA and Apex etc.
You’re doing it again, please read the posts that you quote.
I’ll write it as plainly as I possible:
With consoles you can legally choose to not pay anything beyond the initial outlay for the hardware. With PCs you have no choice but to pay for every single game that you play.
I can’t make it any simpler than that so if you can’t grasp the point then I think we should just leave it there.
If you’re going to quote my original post then please read it again before you do, and notice the word “can”.

'With PCs you have no choice but to pay for every single game that you play', even the free ones
I would say since COVID digital has gone up even more. It was nigh on impossible to find a physical copy of FF VII remake on release so people had no choice but to go digital.
All of those should be released on the current systems except for 2077.
The length you go to prove you are right is quite impressive.
He said people sell console games and can't sell pc games. You went into some kinda waffley mode to make a point.
PC gamers can't sell on their games. Console gamers can. If they choose to buy digitally then they can't. It's not really worth debating. It's fact.
I am also at a tipping point. I currently have a 2070 super and starting to get a bit frustrated with not getting the full value out of PC hardware if that's the right way to put it. Games like Crysis, Half life, Fear etc are long gone it seems. Those were games that improved the experience with upgrades.
Now I am playing Gears and COD with a £500 GPU. These new consoles have excellent hardware in them and will be coded properly so here's me hoping to see something special today from the show.
We all know that PC will have better hardware this year but the cost is not as easy to ignore when it comes to value. I have been a PC gamer since 2003, not as long as some but I am also getting older and value is becoming more important to me. I am not pitting PC vs console here but my usual class of GPU is the xx80 cards from Nvidia and I can't see myself paying £800 this year when for not much more I can get something else.Yeah, after watching Digital Foundry's video on Crysis for Switch, it just seems the PC is needed if you want to go higher than 60fps. That's really it. The games that are taxing the hardware are not designed to be taxing in the way older games were with better effects/physics/AI, etc. just unoptimized. Well, that's what it seems like to me. So why pay 3x more for a PC when you're not really getting the best out of it. That's what's tipping me towards both consoles in November.
Game Pass is going a long way to help.
Imagine my PC with it's 2070 Super, 3700X and Sabrent Rocket 1TB drive being optimized to the max. That and more will be how these consoles are going to be.
Have you seen WorthaBuy latest video on games in 2010 vs 2020?Exciting times. I think we're in for another Xbox 360-type generation. That machine is still my favourite to this day.
