I get that with my EBL charger but they show as full, then I take one out and put back in and it flashes.

They last me a week or more though with frequent use so i'm cool with it. If they cause any issues will get a better charger and some Ladda rechargeable from IKEA as they are supposedly rebadged eneloops.

I got that other day. All charged fine but when I put in controller it was already missing a bit of charge. I think it said in the manual they get better after a couple of charges though.

Does Microsoft ever have sales on old DLC or am I going to have to bite the bullet and pay full price for some stuff like Dragon Age Origins and Prince of Persia Epilogue?

Not at 900p on my LG CX, reverts back to the OG non-enhanced version. Looked stunning when I played it on my 1X a couple of years ago. Even on a bog standard 4K LCD .4k 60fps if you are playing it for the the 1st time.

Ah ok I'll play at 60 then given the choice.

You just get a not available at this time error, according to reddit you need to buy from an old xbox 360 console. Apparently it was removed from backwards compatible.

Ah, that'll be it then. Last time I looked (ages ago) it was on the BC list. I assumed it would still be there. I wonder why they took it off.

Has anyone watched any of the Game Stack stuff? Dealer on YouTube has done a breakdown of the Velocity stuff discussed by developers (not Microsoft) and it's some seriously impressive stuff. It shows why the concerns about the Series S holding game development on the Series X back isn't a concern at all.

I'm no game developer at all, so I could be wrong here, but my understanding is that currently games preload all textures from scenes on loading because it takes too long to do it on the fly, and then they're in memory for the duration of your playtime. This is obviously going to use up loads of RAM on your PC and GPU. Velocity is so efficient that it will stream these textures whilst you play with no impact whatsoever, because it only renders what's on the screen and nothing else. The rest is on the SSD in the Velocity cache, and it gets fetched from that when needed. The demonstration showed a scene with over 2GB texture data that takes 22 seconds to load on a One X console, streaming in under a quarter of a second on the Series X with Velocity. That's a crazy difference! I'm sure that this is going to unlock a huge amount of potential for developers in the future.

Have a watch it you've got the time. It's some pretty amazing stuff.

I've seen some of that GameStack stuff but it also makes me wonder how the heck are they going to use it properly if they have to still cater for PCs as well? I can't even see how DirectStorage helps on Windows because you don't have unified memory.

Can they not select api based on hardware?

Edit: regarding memory, isn’t that what nv are starting to offer?

The OH bought me Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 for my birthday off eBay. I've installed them both to my Series X and launched Left 4 Dead 1 and it worked fine.

Had to turn on VRR when play SoT because I noticed a lot of screen tearing when moving the camera. Nice to have the option.

just buy the ultimate addition 360 game, and install and play off disk 2 only.

I just did a replay last month, awesome game

The Xbox Series S has no disk drive, fella. I could get it on PC for cheap as chips but I don't fancy sitting hunched over mouse and keyboard these days.
