Stock is supposed to be getting to normal levels from next month onwards.

I’m loving my Series S. It just highlights how seamless everything can be compared to faffing about on PC. Plus it will only feel better when proper next gen games come along.

Good I might actually be able to buy a series X.

Plus it screws up the scalpers!

If thats true then it sounds like MS are ahead of Nintendo and Sony; both of those have already advised that stock of the PS5 and Switch is likely to remains scarce possibly into 2022 now

At this point I don't even know why they both rushed to launch. No games and no stock. Amazing we are 6 or so months from launch and if you wanted one you can't buy one easily. They may as well have launched the end of 2021. By the time you get something to push the hardware the warranty will have run out!

Surely its hurt their profits I reckon, game sales on ps4 likely slowed down as now seen as outgoing gen, and hardly anyone can buy new gen consoles. It feels like they released just because the tech media wanted it and it was scheduled.

Not so bad for Microsoft though as they have proper BC which gives real improvements in older games. Plus xbox's seem easier to get hold off. I expect because S's with lower spec can be made in bigger numbers which takes demand away from the X.

Yeah it seems a bit odd; they must have known about poor stock (just like Nvidia and AMD with the GPU's) - looks like my Xbox Series X order from Microsoft on Wednesday must have been at the end of their list; just sitting as "pending" grr

It does seem there is more stock for Xbox, I could have had about half a dozen had i bought everyone i saw online which was in stock more than 5mins. Could have bought an X from the MS store and an S from Amazon yesterday alone.

PS5....the only opportunity and time I had was about 2 months ago but I was busy at work. I always miss the online queues. and so many website crashes all over.

Shareholders - The plan was to release at X date, meaning a balloon payment and a boost in income in the billions, the company would have projected that way before the end of 2020, it would have been planned for at the start of the financial year or even before and then everything budgeted for. If it was delayed the share prices would take a hit. They know the console would sell, regardless of the lack of games. What they didn't expect was the extra demand and problems in silicon production on a worldwide scale which has never seen before.

The company has a responsibility to the shareholders to generate profits, naturally they took it.

Yeah, plus what are they meant to have done with all the ones produced and sold up until now? Kept them stuck in a warehouse somewhere?

I don't think anyone expected Covid to ruin the world quite as much as it did when all this will have been planned.

Got my headset, but all of a sudden the pairing button on the console won't work. Done a full restart, hard shutdown, unplugged power supply for a minute etc, still nothing

Any ideas? Or is the console screwed?!

Xbox are celebrating 20 years of Xbox!
The celebration starts today and continues through November 15, 2021. I wonder what will be released around the 15th ;)

I remember going down to Dixons on launch to get the OG along with Halo and PGR. Then carrying a huge CRT TV around mates to hook up and play LAN. Some good times :)
