I must say, even though my original plan was to get a PS5 first and then X-Box Series X when MS's new studios start releasing their games later this year and next year. Not to mention my PS5 library from PSN is ridiculously good. But I am really happy that by accident and luck I got am Xbox first. Even though I technically don't have many great games in my own Library, GamePass is a game changer, seriously is.

I was the same and have always been a PlayStation guy from the PS1 to PS4/PS4 Pro. I had a 360 when the PS3 was delayed but upon release got it straight away and sold the 360 as it was fun but I wanted my PS3.

Now I had a PS5 preorder for release with guaranteed day one delivery which initially I was excited for. But the more I read into Series X and gamepass the more my mind was being swayed and eventually cancelled my day one preorder and stumbled across a Series X release and bagged myself one.

It's reignited my love of gaming and gamepass is a complete gamechanger and now i'm seriously contemplating leaving the PS5 until it's got a massive backlog as the Series X does everything I need.

Any recommend a cheap headset for use with the series x. Don't care about having a cable plugged into the controller. Just dusted off my old cabled pair and 1 side doesn't work and it crackles a lot.

My son has a set of Steel Series Arctis 3. The bluetooth ones so you can also connect to your phone etc at the same time. We also have the new MS wireless ones and we both reach for the wired ones.

I'll use them so infrequently that 60 quid seems like a bit of a waste though.

EDIT
Found the Xbox One official ones for 17 quid. Looks like it works with the new controllers.

Picked up my Xbox headset today and testing just now, personally, for the price, impressed.

I am not experiencing scalp dig in, but then again, I fully appreciate this will be down to individual fitting! I was going to use my trusty Sony XM3's for the Xbox, but wanted a wireless mic so I can be sociable, therefore took the plunge for the official headset for compatibility. Have not tested the mic online yet.

The ear cuffs get warm, so far, loving the twist volume, and the sound, for gaming and even music, they are for me, fine. The sound is a little muddy, they may need break in, though for the price, cannot complain. Pleasantly surprised for a gaming headset. Very impressed overall. :)

There's a thread Kreee made that gives settings to open the sound up more and clear the muddyness.

Anyone else with the Xbox wireless headset feel like the headband digs into their skull? Really annoying no amount of adjusting will sort it

Yup.

They were awful for me. Clamping force was way too much, and as with Raymond Lin, I needed these to have a couple of extra notches either side. I had the same problem with the Xbox One Stereo Headset too, so I'm assuming Microfost just test their headsets on people with small, narrow heads?...

I've gone back to using my Razer Opus via 3.5mm cable for now.

I've noticed a lot of Sony fans are still clutching at straws over Starfield, suggesting that it would be unwise for Microsoft to forgo releasing the game on the PS5 if they expect to make a reasonable profit. The thing is, Microsoft isn't interested in single unit sales, there's more money to be made in repeat subscriptions. They want to incentivize people to subscribe to Game Pass, and make it a more valuable proposition with compelling exclusives. Phil Spencer has already said they don't need to release games on the PS5 to recoup their investment.

The general consensus among industry insiders and journalists is that it will be exclusive to the Xbox ecosystem.
