So it doesn't need to be set as the home account anymore? My One X is now used by the kids but I've always had my account set to the One X for its home so the kids can access my full set of games and game pass... does this not matter any more and simply being an account will grant them access?

If you're not overly fussy where you get it from, try Game. I was down the local high street on Monday and thought I'd ask out of curiosity, and they had some for pre-order. Was hoping to grab any kind of Series X before Christmas for myself but don't mind paying the extra 30 quid for a good-looking console!

Then wait for ultimate to run out. Buy 1 month ultimate pass and it upgrades to 3 years for free.
So he can't get the £1 deal again but can still do a mass conversion? I did the game pass conversion for about 2.5 years and my plan was to wait for that to expire completely before loading up with more years XBL and buying 1 month UGP to convert it all again. I wouldn't pay £11 a month for the service because I don't have the time to use it fully.

I can't get my head around this, I'm currently paying the £10.99 a month, how do I do this, do I have to cancel my current subscription and lose access, where do I buy 3 years of Xbox live!?
It's probably really straight forward but I don't understand where you actually do the things that make it happen if that makes sense!
You cancel any Gamepass subscription. Then you load up on Xbox live subscription (up to 3 years maximum). Then you purchase a month of Gamepass ultimate and it converts your 3 years Xbox gold into three years of Gamepass ultimate.
You can buy gold anywhere you find it cheapest, if you don't mind dealing with vpns and foreign Xbox live subs its quite a bit cheaper. Hot UK deals is often the best place to find Live deals and usually there's a thread or two explaining this process.

Ok thanks but if I cancelled my current subscription now it will still have a couple of weeks left on it, do I have to wait for it to expire fully before I apply 3 years of Live to my account and then buy a month of Gamepass?
Where do I buy a month of Gamepass I can't see that anywhere?

This sound right? Doesn't seem right, why would they give you effectively two years for free

If you buy 3 x 12 months of Xbox Live and a month of Gamepass to get this to work that's going to work out about £150
Paying £10.99 a month for the subscription is £132 a year, so really its 2 years for free. Still a no brainer but not sure why you're saying nearly 3 years for free

So I finally got around to trying this.
Quake proper feels good and fairly high res.
I tried quake64 and its shocking. Total blurry vision and really low res.
Anyone else having this? I can't get over how bad it is compared to the vanilla version.
Perhaps I'm doing something wrong? I messed about with the settings but couldn't get it any better.
