Series X arrived, set up etc. I've installed a couple of game pass games (Hades and Forza Horizon), any recommendations? I need to get back into (and finish) Doom Eternal so that's on the list, as well as finally completing Immortals Fenyx Rising which i started on the Switch.
Feels like a large step up from my (I think) 7 year old Xbox One!

All new names have numbers now even if it’s unique. I believe they are also planning to convert all names into ones with numbers at some point.

Not on gamepass, but Deaths Door is a fantastic game.
Worth checking through your existing library too as some titles have been updated with FPS boost or been patched to enhance FPS.
This in some cases makes some games feel completely different.
A few I would suggest, although depends what type of games you like:

A Plague Tale, one of my favourite games I have played in recent years.

Psychonauts 2, still playing this but its excellent.
You will love your Series X. Amazing piece of kit. Loads of great game suggestions above. Gamepass is amazing. Microsoft adding 60 fps functionality to older games is just brilliant.
Sea of Thieves is my favourite game. On an OLED at 120 fps, playing with my two sons, lots of fun (and arguments if we sink).

Had every intention of replaying Outer Worlds, so will make sure I do so. Deaths Door looks fantastic also!
Sea of Thieves is an interesting one. My son plays it (or used to) a lot.
I don't really have a genre I go for so I'll be sure to check out most of what's been suggested! Still can't get over how snappy everything feels compared to the Xbox One its replaced

It was a frustrating few minutes though, the Microsoft store is a mess, always has been. I was signed in to the Series X product page and added one to my cart, then I clicked on the cart icon to go to my cart page, nothing there! I did this a few times, thinking it was just a lot of traffic crippling the site, but no, my sign in didn't carry across to the cart page, so I had to sign in again and all was well. Here ends my thrilling account of this evening's purchase!

That's not the case when I changed my username when I got my series X, and same goes for a mate of mine.
I went through the name change process and found a combo that didn't add the numbers at the end. My mate on the other hand created one fresh.

I've tried to change mine and it puts numbers on the end of all I've tried, if it's in use it'll put the numbers on if it's not it won't what's not clear to me is if it does put the unique identifier numbers on if those numbers show up in game or if it just shows the name you chose without the numbers
Older games will display your gamertag as Joebloggs9324 and newer ones will either be Joebloggs or Joebloggs#9324 (the # bit in smaller characters).

I've literally given up now, been trying for weeks. Last time I got an in-stock console in my basket, all logged in, wouldn't let me check out.
If anyone more capable wants to snag me one I'd be extremely grateful.
I'd been trying for a while then installed the HotStock app and within a few days I had one (pending delivery). Give it a shot, hopefully it'll help you get one.

I'm gonna give this a go too, have loads of bookmarks to the store pages of it, but no luck for over a month now, so I've just installed it on my phone, hope it works like it has for you
