Seriously considering the Xbox series x over the playstation 5. Game pass looks great and some of their exclusives like halo look good. I have a pc that I like playing RTS games on, would I be mad considering Xbox when I have a pc?
My brothers who I don't see much have Xbox so I could play with them.

Also what's the must have accessories?

Depends on your pc specs, pc can play any (most?) game pass games anyway. I've recently swapped but will be selling my pc as I don't use it enough and want that old man couch gaming sessions.

I'll be playing it on a 55" and if it looks and feels good I'll probably keep my pc and not upgrade unless future RTS games struggle.
What accessories would you recommend?

That's basically what I did. Keep my PC for RTS and grand strategy type games and Xbox for everything else

Hi all, I need to pick up two Series S for Christmas for the kids. What would be the cheapest way of doing this and sorting out gamepass? Do i just need to buy gamepass for one of the accounts and make sure that account is on both consoles with it being the primary on the console with the second account?
Any good deals on at the moment?

Thanks

Don't think there's any deals. I'd personally buy one of them on Xbox All Access for £20.99 a month (over 24 months), which gives you the Series S and Game Pass. Then just buy the other one normally (RRP £249.99).

You can share Game Pass across both consoles by setting one of the Xbox's to be the home Xbox of the account that has Game Pass, that Xbox can then be used by anyone and have GP access.

You only need gamepass on one account if they will be having individual consoles. You set one xbox as home with the account that has gamepass and then add the second account so both have access, going forward just use the second account. On the other xbox just log in with the account that has gamepass and then both consoles can use gamepass at the same time.

Only issue will be if they will be switching between the consoles as you can only set 1 xbox as your home console.

Cheapest way to buy gamepass is to purchase 12 months (or up to 36 months) of Gold and then convert it to Gamepass Ultimate, see this thread:

https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/threads/xbox-gamepass-ultimate-conversion-is-back-for-1.18886177/

Its cheaper if you use the VPN method but even buying a UK gold sub is under £40 a year.

Has anyone managed to ever get a refund on a digital purchase after the time frame for eligibility has lapsed? Im trying hard to get a refund for BF2042 but MS are not having it.

I have put some time into it I admit, but thats not to say I'm happy with the quality and bugs in the game, I have just given it a chance in hope early patches would improve things , latest patch started to give me persistence data errors when launching into matches.

You need to have no achievements.

So I've just gone to order 2 Series S consoles from Amazon and it turns out they limit it to 1 per customer. Does anyone know if this is per transaction or if the limit will be locked on my account? If so I will just buy them from somewhere else.

Anyone got the elite controller, worth it over the standard pad, been thinking of maybe getting one soon.

I play all sorts of games so maybe has advantage in some games I presume like mp FPS or sim games like MSFS 2020?

I have the elite 1&2 controllers and the elite 2 is a great bit of kit. Feels well built and and thanks to the paddles on the back you definitely get a bit of an advantage when playing certain games like cod/bf as you can jump/laydown etc.. Without taking your thumbs off the sticks.
