*** Xperia Z2 Official Thread ***

Strange thing that's happened to mine since the f/w update though is that all my wireless connections have been dropping off and trying to assign IP's. I have had to 'forget' them and put the settings back in again and seeing if it is stable. The other thing I've done is to allow the wifi to stay on when the phone is sleeping, I can't remember if this is on by default or not...

So downloaded the "Camera Awesome" app and it looks to default to 20mp which is awesome as we know that the main app on auto defaults to 8mp, very happy chappy.

I swapped my HTC One M7 for the Z2 last week just for something different and so I'm very impressed.

Battery life has been superb, its been on now for nearly 1 1/2 days and is showing 59% free and thats with being used for calls, emails etc. Sounds quality of calls is very good and the walkman app does a great job with both my Jaybird Bluebud X and Triple Fi 10's.

Only things I need are a decent case and screen protector. Anybody recommend a bumper or book type case and a decent screen protector?

Spigen or nillkin tempered glass protector. I have the latter.
Cases i dont know. Purchased a barely there case. It was fine but i prefer the feel of it naked.

I've had my replacement for a couple of days now and I'm happy to say it's been perfect, no problems at all. Even better is that the new phone's screen is centred properly, the old one had small gaps top-right and bottom-left.

Coming from an S3 and then an N4 this phone is a huuuge upgrade in all aspects as far as I'm concerned. Love the design, build quality, software is not too OTT, camera is spot on. I don't like curvy phones so this is perfect for me. I got the white one and really like the way the white frames the black display. I'm not even bothered with the size, but then again I have long fingers so it wouldn't really affect me.

I'm still on my first charge, 59% remaining after 1d 4h on battery with 1h 50m screen on time, with all Google services syncing, Google now, location services on (battery saving mode) and a couple of installed apps syncing. That's more than good enough for me. My N4 would have been pretty much dead by now.

Overall extremely happy with my choice, and wouldn't change for any of the other flagships this year.

Loving the phone as well, however its form factor is starting to grate on me.

Comparing it to the wife's M8, this just handles that little bit harder. Hoping the Z compact will rear its head soon.

Upgraded from a sgs3 very impressed with phone so far and have had mine for just over a week.
Battery life is phenomenal, my sgs3 would need charged after half a day however my z2 can easily go a day and a half and takes half the time to charge.

New cases for me and gf.

anybody rooted/using custom rom yet?

I'm rooted, no custom ROM or recovery yet though, I don't see any ROMs that offer enough difference. If there was a GPe device for the community to grab a ROM from then I'd have that but CM11 is still way too flakey for a daily driver.

Having a problem with push email not working on my work exchange account.
I'm not sure if it's Sony specific or android specific though :-(

That sounds more like a work server issue, I doubt very much it's anything to do with Sony seeing as OEMs tend to dress the look and feel of android but something like exchange email will be fairly baked in so if it's not your server refusing to speak to your phone then it may be Android not playing nice.

I remember when I tried out windows phone a while back it just refused point blank to process my work email properly, that was WP7 though, lots changed since then. I think it was a certificate thing.
