Xpert Eleven - Online Football Management Game

For some reason my OcUK team is in a really bad way compared to my other 2. I've got all sorts of problems that I'm just not having with my other teams:

Money is really tight.
Form is low and I've not got the funds to train as much as I'd like.
My midfield is still pretty woeful.

Basically my weekly payout is barely covering the players who desperately need training leaving me nothing to spend to actually try and improve the situation. Oh and to top it off my best player is in the middle of a month long injury. I'm hoping it's just the toll of playing 2 games a week that's the root of my problems. The sooner I get knocked out of the cup the better I think.

Are you doing press releases/sponsor activities regularly?

If you have a little bit of cash (200,000) try your hands at the Xpert Pools. If your lucky you might win the pot :)

I do the sponsor activity every week, don't really do press releases as I'm not terribly creative so find it a struggle to come up with anything decent and I'm not a fan of just churning out tedious match reports that no-one is interested in just to get the money. I guess I should just do it really.

Can't afford to be playing the pools, this week for example I've already blown my million training 8 players and have a paltry 60k to last me until next payday. Can't afford to risk almost 2 players worth of training on the chance that I 'might' win.

I have no money either so its not just you, but i spent a lot on training to try and keep my players form high (over 14). :(

Are you overtraining them Gilly? If you go to "training report" it should show you the effect of any training you've done lately.

Overtrained players used to get injured but there was a recent change whereby they now just lose a chunk of form instead.

No, I barely use training, cos whenever I've done it the report when clicking on the player profile says 2 or 3 bars (never had less) but their overall form since starting training would have dropped 5 or 6 :/

Maybe they were still in training on a matchday and the drop in form from the match was greater than the gain from training so gave an overall drop.

Ideally the day after after each game you should be training anyone who had had a drop in form as a result of the match plus any youth players that you are trying to develop. That way their training has completed by the time the next game comes around. (Obviously whilst you are in the cup and playing twice a week you can't fit the training in in time) The main exception to this is that I don't tend to train players aged 30+ very often as old players don't tend to gain a lot from training plus there's not much scope for increasing their skill so I just try to keep them above 10 so they won't lose any of the skill they have. Also anyone who already has high form is at greater risk of overtraining (another reason not to train over a match day as a player could get a big form increase from the match then get overtrained to due training with high form)

Additionally rehab training has recently been introduced, it's basically form training for injured players but as well as letting you bring their form back before they're fit it also reduces the length of the injury (so far I've done it twice and knocked 1 day off the recovery period each time)

Is there anyway you can take someone off the transfer market? Someone has made an offer for a player of mine and I am now not wanting to sell :(
Any chance you can decline the offer or make the price stupidly expensive?

Don't think you can take them off the market.

Only way I can think around it is to pay for VIP, then get another VIP from our league to buy the player via direct transfer then sell them back to you in a months time. You'd be without the player for a while and you'd lose a bit due to agents fees but if the player is that important...

Nope. It's been designed specifically so you cannot do this.

4-0 win in the cup tonight away from home. No surprise really as the other team's manager has not even shown up I don't think!

Came from behind to draw 2-2 at home to All Good Things. Was a bit lucky as I'd forgotten to log-in and set the team up for this game.

Another ****ing injury

I put the kids/reserves out against Wormy City and they got a 3-2 away from home. Not bad going given Wormy's recent record.

I have a pretty much guaranteed loss this sunday :( team is shot to pieces and I'm playing the team below me. Not a good time for the Clippers right now
