Xpert Eleven - Online Football Management Game

I somehow managed to forget to do my team again.

It is pretty boring really. I wonder if it could be set up to do a game every other day. Make it a speed league :p
 
It might be possible to play 2 games a week and have no cup, not sure if it lets you do that. Too late for this season anyway.

Only other option is for everyone to get VIP then we'd be able to turn it into a VIP league which is allowed 2 league games plus a cup match per week but I can't see enough people going for that and I'd rather leave things as they are.

I'm not bored with it anyway, still working my way up through the divisions whilst building a team which will hopefully be able to challenge for the title once I get that far.
 
Yep, admin error on my part so it's now on a Thurdays :(

I can understand why people say they get a little bored of the game but it's a long term thing to play, not like a quick go on Pacman or Space Invaders. You can't build a winning team overnight so you put in 5 mins a days checking mails, training players, doing sponsor activities etc.

Yeah I can understand what your saying, but once you have won promotion, won the top division and won the cup twice, it's like what else is left to do?
Be cooler if it were on a much larger scale maybe.

Yeah but in a few seasons time when your entire team has retired you will be struggling to stay up ;)

Boo, the first couple of seasons don't really count. You can be randomely generated a superior team from the start. Or you can also buy yourself so many old 6/7 skillers in your first season that you can overwhelm the teams that prefer to play the long game.
 
You've also got to remember that it'll take a good 5-10 seasons before the league has sorted itself into a 'natural order' where the best managers are mostly in the top division, only after that will it get properly competitive.
 
No I think it will still be boring. I understand the concept, but the game does not work properly enough to warrant planning for years ahead ;) You get the most random results sometimes.
Not sure why everyone is complaining about my team winning so much? boo my players are a couple of years older - still winning though. It's easy to say you could do that every season though - buy enough experienced players in the right areas for cheap and they'll still win.
What happens if you do win the league and cup with a 'young' team in 5 seasons time - how is that any different?

On a recent team-building climbing day Benny Hutton was put off by a strong breeze that tore through his hair gel. His dismay caused him to lose his footing and fall! Luckily he was cushioned by the hedgerow underneath. Since then he has taken up topiary and his new relaxed attitude has made him feel good within himself with no effects.

3-2 win for me :)

Some of the players/teams in the OcUK leagues... are they all actually posters from OcUK?

Some of the usernames aren't familiar at all and there are countries like Luxembourg etc...
 
close game nikebee, stole it away from me in the 85th minute ah well still new to this game least I have bagged a couple of goals and x11 spots

Ah that was you! Yeah it was damn close :)

I'm hoping to get promoted this year, after coming 3rd in my first season in the game and a dismal 3rd from bottom last season (which I completely forgot about :o)

You were always gonna struggle early on with your first 3 fixtures against the best 3 teams in the division. Should be able to grab some points against the other teams.
 
Hmm, drew 2-2 tonight. Would have taken a point before the game but although we didn't have much of the possession, missed a penalty then conceded in the 94th minute :(
