Welcome to the old world.

I have a old persons chair -press button and it rises up and forward to the point you can't hold on and you do a headroll on to the carpet- it is then easier to get up when on hands and knees.

Waiting for someone to try and use the excuse that metabolism declines with age hence the reason they get fatter as they get older.

It actually does decline but it's about 1% per decade so insignificant to overall calories/energy expenditure with age

40s here and feel the same as my 20s. Yoga most days and various resistance training. Nothing crazy just push ups, pull ups, squats etc. Considering many people happily spend 5 hours a day on a mobile phone, 20 mins exercise a day should be doable for most.

Running made me gain weight as I was constantly hungry so snacked a lot. Weights and yoga are where its at for me now.

Invest in your health people.

Going to turn 40 this year, and the worst thing honestly, the hangovers.

Gone are the days of drinking an entire box of beer, waking up, have a fry up, play football and feel fine by 11am.

Now its minimum 24 hours.

The hangovers are something else. It's not so much the typical headache etc, it's the lethargy that seems to last for a couple of days.

You're old when one of your kids can beat you in a foot race.

im 44 and confident id win but its the fact i now need to put 90% effort in against a 12 year old and a 10 year old. This time next year I'd have to give it the full beans to win which probably means injury so im thinking of hanging up my spikes at the end of this summer, unbeaten.
