Your bad driving encounters

How can he end up driving a hire Lambo with no insurance? I presume his mate must have hired it and then lent it to Khan?

From what I understand it's usually the case of the person wanting the car (in this case it would be Khan) but cannot obtain the car for hire due to credit/driving history so someone who can hires the car and then when out of sight of the hire firm, hands over the car.

Similar has been uncovered with a few drivers in my area when pulled over and it's been found that the car (usually high-power hatchbacks like Golf R etc) was actually leased by an older family member and put the driver on as a named driver. Except the lease holder never drives the car which invalidates the lease & insurance.

Shame I can's set a camera up opposite the 'ambulances only' entrance/exit at work. The amount of absolute dildos that think it's OK to drive through is amazing. Saw one the other morning who just stopped in the road and was on his phone, blocking an arriving ambulance on blues and twos. Ha, Google streetview caught one such ***** in the act.

Then you have the idiots who drive up to the ambulance bays thinking it's a public road, but then think it's acceptable to use the helipad to perform a 3-point turn instead of just carrying on.

Today (well yesterday now) was surprisingly boring but pleasant - light traffic and everyone pretty much driving normally - could do with more days like that.

I had a very angry bus driver the other day :s I don't think he realised his rear indicator wasn't working so I didn't see he was trying to pull out until I was in a position to see the front side one.

Quoting myself but forgot - a couple of days ago went past a bus on the same route, possibly same bus, it was pulled into a stop - I looked for indicators as approaching it from behind and nothing but looking in my rear view it was indicating into the stop still at the front. Not sure if a fault as that really should be caught long before now if it was or just coincidental timing again but kind of weird.

Yesterday driving down a road with a right turn and straight ahead/left junction at some lights. The idiot in front of me was in the right lane, noticed that the lane wasn't for straight ahead. He decided to reverse and not bothering to go in the left lane. I reversed to let him through (no cars behind me). No he decided to stay where he was with rear of car sticking out the other side if the road. Cars in the opposite direction had to drive on the pavement to go past him.

@Rroff contact the bus company.

Had an absolute ******* get behind me earlier flashing his lights and tailgating...........as we all were stuck behind a lorry doing a 2mph overtake on a 2 lane road. Literally made no sense.

Is it worth shaming him with the dashcam footage on YT with his reg? I'm quite petty but much more lazy.

Yup. Doooo it.

I swear so many drivers are on autopilot/following the same routines they always do no matter what. Some people cruise through amber lights and don't indicate. Some tailgate and flash and undertake. Me, I drive like a pensioner checking mirrors 6 times and indicating even if there's not a soul about :D

Just seems like people maintain their habits even when it makes no sense.

Not exactly a Spielberg but I reserved the footage (and it is upside down, lol):

The action kicks in around 00:54.

Here was my view in front of me, lol:

Anyway, here is a video of a friend of mine racing a Taycan S:

.....................y'all are too judgemental.

I guess it wasn't the blue one holding you up LOL. Potentially bad place to be sitting at the end though - personally I do everything I can not to be sitting beside a lorry.

On my way to work today was 2 cyclists just about a car length apart - car in front of me tried to overtake them on a corner when a lorry came around the other way so forced its way into the gap between them, after I got past them only the car behind me followed me out to give them plenty of space (which surprised me as they didn't look the type) while the rest of the queue literally just brushed past including a HGV. About an hour later one of my colleagues got in and said 2 cyclists were knocked over dunno if same ones but if they'd continued along the road they'd have been at the spot around the time it happened.

I can see why he's flashing, plenty of space for you to squeeze down the grassy verge there :p

:(

Just not worth the risk of cycling on the road these days, with how badly the standards of "driving" have deteriorated

It isn't a popular opinion but IMO most roads are just too busy these days to mix in cyclists as well as the standards of driving - which realistically aren't going to change. Absolutely crazy the way the HGV went past them behind me but I kind of understand it as we'd been behind them at ~10MPH for over a mile and if they didn't get past then there wouldn't have been another chance for another 2-3 miles for a large vehicle to get past.

The cyclist in front did actually start to stop in someone's drive to let us past once the queue behind built up but the 2nd one didn't seem to be on the same wavelength and just continued so they didn't stop.

Had one of those today... busy car park but found a row of ~10 spaces empty cue a minute later someone coming up and parking right next to me... WTF... and then this guy on the larger size is struggling to squeeze out between the 2 vehicles looking at me like it is somehow my fault... fortunately I was on the phone for the next 20 minutes and by the time I was going to get out he'd returned and was about to leave.

I drove to Southend and back from Derby yesterday, the roads are full of complete morons! Lanes 3 and 4, people dawdling along. Lanes 1 and 2 totally empty! madness!

I almost had a huge crash, someone decided to slam on their brakes and come to a stop as they'd missed the services slip road. I'd for a split second looked at the stereo to change radio stations. I slammed the brakes on and was all ABS'ing towards them, there were cars to the right but I managed to slid to the left into the services as the guy reversed in! :O Wish I had a dash cam for that one!

It's amazing that that all happened in the space of me looking at a button! I wasn't speeding or tail gating

I pulled into the services and stopped, had a moment to reflect. The guy drove past absolutely oblivious! crazy!

People like this need to see the inside of a jail for a bit :s but I doubt they'll learn - I've seen a few instances of people on dual carriageways or motorways slamming their brakes on and putting themselves and others in immense danger because they've either missed their exit or trivial things like having an argument in the car or to reach back to grab something from the rear seats, etc.

On a different note on the way to work today saw 3 kids fooling about on bikes on a busy main road - swerving back and forth from one side of the other with traffic coming up behind them at 60MPH... and as I got close to them one was trying to sit back to back on the same bike with one of them while towing their bike behind! all the while with traffic passing within inches... absolute idiots. All I could do was slow down and give other vehicles as much room as possible in case they needed it.

I assume you're referring to people who take their eyes off of the road to tune the radio?

We had a massive thunderstorm with torrential rain. Manhole covers popped open. Some areas the water was higher than the kerbs.

Even with my windscreen wipers at full speed, it made no difference. There were drivers with no lights. Driving through the floods as stupid speeds.

Seen a few good? ones recently, apparently the mirror, signal bit of mum doesn't get used anymore and it's a case of let's just change lane and **** everyone else. I also had s guy start pulling ingredients on to the roundabout infron of mile from the next junction when I was almost there  . I am seeing a good 4 or 5 bad/dangerous habits on my commute each way, the standards are just shocking from some people.
