Comma in the wrong placeSo you don't even know if you've had any issues?![]()
Ok, let's be clear when I stopped there was no other vehicle in that area of road that was being blocked or obstructed, the only obstruction was caused by the other driver coming down to where I was even though they would have realised that I was stopped and had no where to pull-in. They had passed numerous parking spaces that would have allowed me to continue if I was driving slowly.I have been in the same situation on this road and just pulled in and waited for the other driver to start off.If we're going down the "they should have given way" discussion then the only right of way advice in the highway code is purely advisory.
This on the other hand is not.
So out of the two of you only one was breaking an actual must not rule.
Although like I said earlier it basically sounds like neither of you were making anyone's life easier.
I would have been indicating or flashed him to come down. I would have waited to actually see what the driver was going to doHe's not psychic. Maybe he thought you were about to reverse park in to a space.
I did nothing most of you would have done.If we're going down the "they should have given way" discussion then the only right of way advice in the highway code is purely advisory.

Whether there was someone coming or not it's irrelevant, you blocked the road.Ok, let's be clear when I stopped there was no other vehicle in that area of road that was being blocked or obstructed, the only obstruction was caused by the other driver coming down to where I was even though they would have realised that I was stopped and had no where to pull-in. You're right but most of us would probably look back and go "you know what, yeah I didn't really help myself there".I did nothing most of you would have done.
As stated before this section of road had no spaces yet the section the other car was on had plenty. I have not said I didn't make a mistake, I am just saying that the other car didn't help by continuing on down when I would have had to carry on up.Whether there was someone coming or not it's irrelevant, you blocked the road.
You're right but most of us would probably look back and go "you know what, yeah I didn't really help myself there".
Making mistakes is absolutely fine, we all do it but doubling down and refusing to take any responsibility and maybe modifying your behaviour in future is the problem.
Comma in the wrong place
I did nothing most of you would have done.
You chose wrongThere wasn't one to start with so I had to guess the most appropriate position based on the information available.
I think I chose well
At least we agree on that![]()
Wasn't in Chelmsford was it?Parked in Halfords today just needed to get some Sealent, I was parked right near the entrance/exit. Upon getting back to my car, I reversed out as a guy let me out, I passed him and he gave me the thumbs, second old guy behind him, waving his arms at me, saying you're going the wrong way, go back expecting me to go around the entire car park. When the exit was behind my car and it was two lanes wide, wtf( There was no arrow directions behind my car )
Sufficed to say I just looked at him, shrugged my shoulders and said AND? What you going to do?
Must've really ruined his life, a fate worst than death itself
