Your car history memory lane.....

1996 Fiesta 1.8D non-turbo (slow, unreliable and generally appaling)
1997 Rover 416i (100% reliable, miss this car a lot as it had Piper cams, Janspeed manifold and a few other breathing mods)
1999 Rover 420 diesel (Workhorse, lovely mint car though
1999 Rover 620ti (Miss this the most by FAR, fantastic car in every respect, fond memories of turning heads on the OcUK Yorkshire meets!)
2003 MG ZS TD (Running 155bhp, currently off the road for some maintenance work now it's hit 120k)
1999 Rover 416LE (Full of rust, workhorse while the ZS is fixed)

Without a doubt it has to be the 620ti, I will never forget that car and I miss it so much.
It wasn't that fast (although with a 0-60 of 7.0 you could catch people out) but it handled pretty well, was mega comfy, and everything worked, even at 145k miles when I sold it.

They say you love your first car the most, but I actually think the 620ti will be the one car I always regret selling.

here is mine:

Past:

1977 Mini 1275GT - bored out to 1340, twin 40 Webers etc
1988 Pug 309 GTI - 1.9 FWD hatch
1990 Fiesta 1.4 LX
1994 Escort 1.6 LX
1997 Vectra 2.5 SRI Hatchback
2002 Landrover Freelander TD4 ES

Current:

2002 Audi A4 3.0 Quattro Sport Avant
2005 Fiesta 2.0 ST

As you can see I went through a stage of sensible cars for a while when I first met the wife! It took a few years to get back to the sort of cars I liked.
I am torn with an absolute favourite as its between the Mini, Pug and Audi but I suppose its the Pug really.

In that order, had a few other cars and got a 406 SRI at the minute too. Quite a few in 5 years really.

Miss the blue saxo vts the most, cheapest to run and own was the xsara diesel, lost the most money on the gold xsara vts, only one i crashed was the blue xsara vts, used the rallye the least but looked after it the most, made money on the bmw, regretted buying the mr2 the most.

Joshy that E34 looks half decent.

MORE INFOEZ PLS

Looks can be deceiving. It was my first ever auction buy and I was quite chuffed with it, £600 for a 1994 530i (V8) Automatic in back 07. Bought for my mother to smoke around in when her car got written off.

Unfortunately didn't really inspect the car too well after I bought it. The top hose was knackered and after a few weeks it dry itself dry of coolant, by the time mum noticed the "Low coolant" bongs and soaring temperature it was too late :(. Took it off the road and left it in the front garden of a friend for about a year until we brought it back of retirement when mum needed a temporary car again.

She hated it, but I adored it. Used it every opportunity I could (I somehow had DOC in my first year of driving!), and once you learned to ignore the temp needle being well into the red and the OBC bonging "Warning, Low Oil Pressure" it was still a nice car. No more than 10MPG around town though! :p

Eventually sold to some dodgy middle eastern types who said they were going to export it to the "home country" :).
