Your current Fish tank Setups!

After feeding the plants the suggested products and cutting light down (gradually bringing it back up - currently six hours a day) the plants are lovely and green!

Have been tempted to get a RO system, as the tap water here contains nitrate to the tune of 40 before it even goes in the tank. Can anyone advise here?

Thanks gents :)

Tonight gentlemen I became a midwife! The mrs got three molly's from Maidenhead Aquatics today and one of them dropped 9 babies!

I've rescued them to a separate tank for now but I need advice :

Will they be ok until tomorrow without an airstone and a filter? We're going to get a breeding net for them tomorrow so they can share the community water.

Does anyone have either of these tanks so that I can see a picture of them setup and in situ please?

Considering one of these. Alternative recommendations would be awesome.

It's going in my living room which has a black gloss theme at the moment in terms of TV, TV Cabinet and celing fan etc, so I would like something that suits this.

Budget of around £300-£400 with everything included.

Thanks,

G

My tank now, looks a lot better with both external filter and heater.

I have one I bought a few years ago 2nd hand,, its probably 10 years old now though. Ill try and take a video of it tonight as I spent a lot of time last night cleaning it up.

I have a Fluval tank, pretty sure its that one but the lighting has been changed to an over the top type rather than the ones that come with it.

Please could someone with a Fluval 200 measure how far it sticks out from the wall with the doors open please? Also can it sit flush against the wall or do you need some space behind it?

Thinking of picking one up tomorrow for £260 with cabinet.

Thanks,

G

Hi.
My fluval (remember its old) needs 40.7cm for the tank then the doors are 36.5cm when fully open. Also you may want an external filter which will stop it being flush against the wall which will add ~3cm.
Heres a quick video I just shot of my shoe string setup.
