Your current Fish tank Setups!

26 °C will be fine.

Is that a Fish Box? The Interpet pumps aren't the best, I changed to Fluval.

Nice set up.
Cheers.

It's a Fish Pod.

I've got my eye on a Fluval U3 from Amazon if the Interpet one doesn't work out.

How often should the filters be cleaned?

Cheers.

I've got both a Fluval U3 and Fluval U4 in my tank, they're excellent filters. I found the Interpet filter was overheating and the venturi tends to pack up.

I change the carbon filters once a month, and normal filter once every couple of months.

2 filters in the same tank?

Can you clean the filters or only change then?

I have a U4 that I no longer need due to getting a larger tank and 2 externals, benefit is that it has established bacteria already :)

A little update from my posts a few days ago.

Rapunzel (my daughters fantail) had a dose of Whitespot, a bloodshot tailfin and swimbladder problems!

Well, after 3 doses of Tetra goldmed she now looks to have made a full recovery! She's no longer bobbing around like a cork and looks a lot more relaxed and happier and is behaving how I would expect a goldfish to behave (ie, always on the lookout for food!) All the spots have gone and so has the bloodshot fin.

I'll give the tank one more does on goldmed in a couple of days and then that should be it :)

Heres our tank, been running a little while now.

45l tank, PF2 filter and Deltatherm heater with 4xRummy Nose Tetras, 2x Gold Rams and 2x Upside Down catfish.

All going well, fish are really happy and all settled in. We were careful to cycle it all and water test then added the fish slowly, tetras first then Ram's a week later and catfish 2 weeks after that.

Pics taken during cycle, before fish and PF2 went in

Nice themed tank, but it is wholely unsuitable for any of those fish long term, all of them need longer tanks of at least a 75x30cm footprint.

It is overstocked (~45cm of adult fish) and social species like any of the three Rummynose typess and Synodontis nigriventris should be kept in at least 6+ groups (ideally bigger).

This tank would be fully stocked with the likes of 5 Guppies, ~20cm of adult fish that are sedate moving enough to be fine in such a small tank.

Thanks for your info, we are aware of the adult sizes of the fish and in the short/medium term hope to either have another larger tank to move some of them too or they will be re-homed in my father in laws 300+ litre tank as he has ample space for them given his current stock

Actually a little confused as to the water volume of the tank now, as I stated we were sold it as a 45l tank but the dimensions are W 53cm x D 31cm x H 41cm, which I work out to be approx 67 litres, even when you lose the height given that the lid etc can't be full of water I still figure it to be 50 litres? or am I missing something.

Order my Juwel Trigon 190 on friday to replace the vision 260, reason being i need the space for a new TV where the Vision is currently at.

Had a big clean out in the tank a couple of weeks back, it was starting to look overgrown and messy. I've moved the wood about and gone for a more simplistic look.

And one of my favorite fighters, she has some amazing colours in the right light.
