Looks like I'm finally winning the algae war in my tank.
my tank is also clearing of algae, i bought a fish that eats it

here he is
he has cleared the front of my tank in under 4 days he is only around 3cm too. next water change i just need to scrub of around the top were he wont go and the tiny specs he has missed.
not sre of the name of them though.
i got some food which is green pelet type thing for 'sucker-mouth catfish' but he doesnt seem to have touched it.
i thought they ate algae wafers which i expected to be a square of green. is the stuff i got the best stuff for them?

Anyway I decided to go down to another pet shop which is down the road from where I work, I bumped into one of the members of staff in there asking what sort of filter I should be looking for and then he asked what set up I had and then all I get from him is that apparently my tank is way over-stocked & basically the black moor fish will eat the goldfish within the next few weeks and that I need to get rid of it, also the fish that died had died most likely because of the knackered filter and that it got a disease and this guy basically wouldn't leave me alone until I finally said "ok I will get rid of a couple of fish then" and so he did not recommend me a filter either.
