I don't see the problem with the god of war being considered their best played game on PC that came out on PC this year

Thats a real pity, as I say, I honestly cannot think of a single year in the last 41 years of gaming where I have gone the whole year without playing at least one game that I really really enjoyed. Should that year ever come then I will know my time with gaming is over. Thankfully it hasnt come yetI actually cannot think of a game that was released in 2022 that I've played and really really enjoyed....
I'll pop you down for Nothing/No GameSomewhat agree with the above poster, God of War is a port not really a "new" 2022 release.
Great game though. Unfortunately I don't have a game I'd consider GOTY for this year.
If you look back at last years, Nothing was actually the top result if I recall correctly. So it might well be that for some people its been 2 entire years since they played anything that they consider to be the best new game they've played. Fingers crossed for 2023 !What is PC gaming coming to, when so many people vote that they do not even have a GOTY
Not heard of that one before, getting good reviews on Steam though, I'll have to take a look.Terra Invicta for me.

I have this problem too, or I keep going back top games I enjoy for another playthrough - as I enjoy management / sim games as well as the usual AA guff .Agree with this - the problem is I have such a massive backlog that I rarely actually play games in the year they come out, so my GOTY might be something from 2 years prior
Thats pretty much the same for me. GOW would have been my GOTY if Elden Ring hadnt come along other than those almost all of the best games I played this year are EA titles as I play a lot of base building/survival sorts of games which always seem to be in early access for years and years. This year I think Elden ring edged out GOW (which I also really enjoyed and only played for the first time on PC). My other big played games are still either EA or old lol
Being 40 I've had my fair time of gaming and I have no intention of giving up any time soon. I just think the quality of games has just dropped off a cliff in regards to mechanics and story line so there is nothing really of note this year.Thats a real pity, as I say, I honestly cannot think of a single year in the last 41 years of gaming where I have gone the whole year without playing at least one game that I really really enjoyed. And Baldurs Gate 3, Sons of The Forest, Star Wars Jedi Survivor, Stalker 2, Diablo 4, Starfield and hopefully Warhammer Roguetrader. Surely got to be something in that little lot for everyoneNext year we will have hogwarts legacy, and the latest Bethesda game. Those surely will be worthy of top spot and push down no game/nothing. Hopefully
