im lucky if i remember what day it is these days, but i remember buying a 3dfx voodoo to mainly to pley team fortress classic, as played for years, been pc gamer since, but bought pretty much every computer from sinclair spectrum dragon 32, etc etc, basical im old

Yep I remember the 600 series being a disappointment. My twin 480s were more than enough at 1080p at that time and I played a lot more Xbox 360 and then PS4 in the following years as I was away from home at University / first jobs in London.Much better, happy to see you didn't fall for the midrange chip sold as a 80 class chip with the 680 . New 6800xt deals about for £500 worth it or skip?
I've been watching and been tempted but realistically they need to be closer to £400 to make me lay down some money. The 6800XT is the minimum performance increase I'd need for a worthwhile upgrade.
