Your motoring irritations

One thing about fog lights - it's not just chavs that use them I've seen old biddies with them on, and family cars with mummy behind the wheel - so I'm sure they don't realise.

I've said this before but people who dawdle at the lights when they've turned green. Grrrrr.

Fog lights on the front are for when its very thick fog and your normal beams bounce back at you. The low down fog lights wont bounce back anywhere near the same but have limited range. I havent ever found a need to use them in this country.

Note - Please note that adding in additional memory to the spare slots will require new BIOS settings and the maximum clock speed attainable may be significantly reduced. OcUK recommend a quality brand PSU for use with all our bundles such as the Corsair TX & HX range. Updating the BIOS on the overclocked bundle range will void the warranty on the overclock. If you update the BIOS we will no longer be able to provide support for configuring and maintaining the CPU overclock.

Probably best off posting up in the CS section with your order number.

However how come you updated your BIOS? hardware incompatibility?

Normal practise with BIOS updates is "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

Thats the most offtopic i have ever seen a thread go. lol

Just done two long runs, first time I've been on Motorways for quite some time. A few things that got me fired up.

- Tailgating, when there is a line of cars in front and weaving around my rear is not going to get you any further ahead.
- Linked to the above, undertaking. Well done on dropping a gear in your diesel turd rep mobile, and progressing into the space which I'm keeping in front of me. Since it's pretty cold outside and the road conditions are not brilliant, it's not a space that can be filled. Well done on moving up one spot in the long line of traffic. ****
- Middle lane hoggers, they essentially make a 3 lane motorway a 2 lane motorway. Im doing 70-80 overtaking lorries etc. And some old biddy in a 20 year old corrolla is sitting in the middle lane at 60. Audi's and BMW's in the outside lane doing PMKeates level of speed, and I have to overtake into that lane. Move out the friggin way so I can progress to overtake in the middle lane!!!!! I hate having to adjust my speed, and these numpties think it's appropriate to have every driver use the far outside lane, and thus making the inside lane unusable...
- People who will pull out without into my lane becuase they stuck the indicator on for 2 seconds, so that gives them the right to swing out and cause me to brake on the motorway. Just wait until I've gone past please.

Another one for me are women in ***** vans (AKA 4x4's R/Rover/Audi/Volvo... you get the picture)... they just cant drive them/judge gaps. Really gets my back up. Get a bloody car for the love of god! I couldnt care less if it make you feel safer bitch. Learn to drive first! ;) I work in a small village with small roads and loads of jams every day and where the majority of people are hooray bloody henry's... great! You can imagine how many of these ***** vans are around here. I HATE them with a passion. People should be benned from buying them UNLESS they are going to use them for off roading/farmers and so on.

Another irritation is salt gritters. I followed one yesterday on a dual carriageway because I had no desire to be splattered, however after about 10 miles I got bored. Ahhh

What really amuses me is when people hang back in its wake and then really slowly go past it. They were in its shower of grit for ages!
I just hang back behind its wake until there's a clear run through, and then boot it past at warp 8. That way I'm in its shower of grit for far less time!

But the grit will hit you that much harder.
