Your plans for 2010?

My car ownership plans for 2010 can be summed up as they have been for the last few years :D

I might finally buy a car this year (shared my mum's while I was living back in Cheltenham).

Having said that, my head will probably win and I'll put the money away somewhere while I'm in London and actually don't need one.

Not a great deal you can do to a Z4 other than what I've already done, to be honest.

I'm going to be moving out, so that will be my main priority, but towards the end of the year I might well consider a switch. Depending on circumstances, that could well be:

M3
Cayman S
123d/335d
370z
TTS

or similar. Basically I'm not overly keen to get rid of the Z4 until I am ready to step up in ownership (and performance), rather than just sideways.

My plans are to keep the R1 as is and to hopefully not bin it myself, or get hit by some dozey git again :D

Probably will keep the Z4 until after Le Mans, then perhaps trade up to a 3.4 Boxster S or new Z4 Sdrive 35 if they have come down suffciently in price.

Quite tempted by a older 996 Turbo or SL 55 AMG for the epic performance they offer - much more special than the above :). The porsche purely as it is a dream car and an urge I need to satisfy, the merc as it has a thumping v8 and no roof to get in the way of all that sound (recent passenger ride in a CLS 63 amg opened my eyes to gut wrenching torque at the PH MB world meet). :D.

Rather different choices there matey, both of them will make the Z4 look rather silly though, do it and post lots of pics :)

Buying a house in 2010 + a baby on the way = extremely unlikely to do anything as regards cars.

I want a 330i sport manual, they're like rocking horse poo however so I wouldn't be suprised if I ended up heading towards a mondeo ST220 as an alternative due to there being more about ,cheaper in parts and cheaper to buy lol. Damn timing of having a kid!

Ugh, loads I want to do on the Manta, mainly a heated windscreen and some semi restoration of a few body areas.

I'm considering either getting rid of the RSV or turning it into a track bike. I just don't use it enough to justify keeping it anymore, especially since I've been bitten really hard in the past 18 months by the road cycling bug. In fact, if I do punt the Mille I will probably spend the proceeds on either one of the new Pinarello Dogmas or a Pinarello Prince. :D

Car wise, I'm undecided. The wife keeps hinting at replacing her puddle jumper but if I get rid of the RSV I'm fancying a new car will be performance orientated. An '04 onwards Merc E55 is still hovering at the top of my "Do want" list. It would certainly be within my financial grasp this coming year.

For the Scoob:

Polish bodywork and tidy up the alloys
Front lip splitter
ICE
Blitz Nur Spec R exhaust
HKS SSQV....( )
Remap

Big project:

200bhp/600kg track car of the seven style variety

Interesting question, either get a 220 Turbo Coupe to play with, or go to town on the derv over the summer.

- Remap
- VNT turbocharger
- FMIC
- Freeflowed inlet manifold
- Uprated clutch and LSD 'box
- 282mm Brakes

Taking me to about 170-180bhp, maybe more. :)
