Your Premiership XI 2007

Eboue hasn't played much because Sagna has been brilliant for us this season and has replaced him as our RB, he is a strong gritty defender and unlike Eboue is very committed defender and gets is good in the air as well. On his day Eboue is sensational as RB but the guy's work ethic leaves a lot to be desired at times.

So Eboue is out because Sagna's better and Sagna's out because he's only played this season and hasn't impressed me. His positional sense leaves a lot to be desired and Wenger hasn't had chance to smooth him out yet. He seems talented enough but he's still raw.

Yet you've picked Richards who's only played rb a handfull of times for England and is equally (if not worse) bad positionally?

The times I've seen Richards compared with the times I've seen Sagna Richards has easily been the better player.

He done well in the first couple of games at rb but since the first Russia game he's been pretty poor.

Regardless of that it just seemed strange that you could pick a player who i doubt has played more than 10 games in that position for a team for 2007. Seemed a fairly straight forward decision to me, Finnan's been very consistent defensively and despite the mythe that our fullbacks don't get forward, he also gets forward and gets plenty of assists thanks to a decent cross he's got on him (also he's the only 'top' rb to have played throughout the year), but i would say that :)

Eboue's attitude is appalling mate, sorry to say even as an Arsenal fan I'm sick of his antics on the pitch. Constant diving and cheating and there simply is no need for it. It says a lot when Wenger goes public and says Eboue needs to stop his diving. He is also such a lazy player, Sagna will be up and down the pitch all day long and he gives it his all on the pitch. With Eboue sometimes after he has got forward it is usually a casual jog back to his position and many times last season we got exposed because he was being a lazy git and was out of position. Eboue can be very good in defence but at this level you just can't have someone out there who isn't 100% committed to defending first and attacking second. In attack Eboue can be sensational though, he can be machine like and completely over run a side down the flank but we haven't seen much of that this season.

I am glad we have Sagna in and if anything it will give Eboue a much needed kick up the back side to sort himself out.

Not something he would usually do tbh and a quiet word from another team member and I wouldn't expect him to do it any time soon again

Was this where he went down after clearing it, there is a possibility he hurt himself as Smith (i think it was) ran straight into his foot at the end of the swing. Certainly didn't look as bad as the commentators made out.
