Some japanese style mmo (around early 2000s) that invented concept of 3 factions that fought to gain ownership of a mining cave for a few days, and you would just idle mine
Hah, I vaguely remember playing that, the 3 factions were robots, scantily clad elves and some kind of hobbit thing? It really was terrible >_<
Star Citizen would have to be up there for me, actually embarrassed that I gave them money.
Tabula Rasa anyone?
Another (very old!) one, the original Men In Black, (came out just after the 1st film) was barely a game, basically static scenes you wander around in.
I'm sure there are another few terrible games that I can't think of at the moment.
A terrible, yet great game for me was Neocron - very rough exterior, but quite a lot of depth once you got into it, unfortunately plagued from the start by poor marketing and low server populations until it died, such wasted potential
Surprised to see the hate for Subnautica, I've just finished it, and thought it was great, really atmospheric, and utterly terrifying in some places, especially in VR! (just a shame about the controls). Maybe I got into it late enough that the bugs have all been ironed out?
