Your worst game this year

There are a few people saying battlefield 3, can I have some reasons? Apparently it's nowhere near as good on console as pc, is it the graphics/immersion that you don't like or is it more a problem with the actual mechanics that no amount of fancy hardware could fix?

I think im going to be more selective about the games i buy, i must have wasted a small fortune over the years.
Most games i pick up now, fail to grip me, i get that been there seen it feeling most of the time.
Developers need to have a good rethink about where to go next with games i think before the whole buisness goes stale, better games, less gimmicks i say, oh and the hype and accessories that are coming out with these so called A list games is laughable, i smell the whiff of a big cash cow doing a massive dump?

For me, the biggest dissapointment has to be LA Noir, massive let down on all fronts.
Far too many others to mention.

My reason is that it doesn't feel like I expected BF3 to be, it's just like BC2.5 to me. Also the input lag doesn't help, feels a bit floaty. I expect it's more like the BF2 that I loved on PC though, so it's probably the format that's at fault.

Nothing to do with visuals or hardware for me. I just don't like prone. It's not very nice when people are just laying in the undergrowth picking you off when you can't even see them. (Plus I'm rubbish at the game.) :D

I do agree that whilst BF3 is good it feels more like BC2 was supposed to be on PC.

Not sure what I expected from BF3 but the spawnkilling remains it seems :(.

La Noire was terrible, clunky controls, ambiguous gameplay. Only paid 20 quid for it second hand, but still felt bad about buying it. Stopped playing when I realised I wasn't enjoying it at all

Im also surprised at the BF3 choices on here , its hard to start off with and is no run and gun like cod but im finding it easier the more i play and realise i have to be more tactical , everyone to their own know!

As before L.A noir was one big let down especially with all the hype it got , i was in NY times square when this was about to be released and it was getting massive advertisement there.

I'm going with Brink, 10 mins with it and I'd already put it back on the shelf and haven't played it since!

That's shortly being followed by BF3, the MP is fun with friends but it's nothing new and it would be more fun to go have a blast on BF1942 on the PC with some friends instead!

Dragon Age 2 was the biggest load of rubbish I've ever played. I played around 2 hours and couldn't stomach any more.

Suprisingly, I also have to say LA Noire wasn't as good as I'd imagined. It wasn't boring but it wasn't interesting either. I had high hopes for this title as well.

I get this too now, LA Noire kept me happy for a while but it was too same-y, was really looking forward to batman but although I still like it it's nowhere near as exciting as Arkham Asylum was as it's just the same really, loved the 1st assassin creed i played (2) but brotherhood bored me, so many other sequels i have the same feeling about
I really hope Uncharted 3 isn't like that, really want a game that i can get stuck in to, one of the ones you can't wait to play, not had that in a while!

Duke Nukem is the worst I've played this year though, lasted about 15 mins before i sent it back (was a rental thankfully)

I havent really played enough new ones to answer this.

Biggest disappointment has to be fable 3. but to think on...I'm not even sure when it was released, May have been a 2010 release. I'm sure there are worse games, I've just not played enough 2011 releases. I'm playing catch up with the back catalogue.

worse thing for me was the Battlefield 3 beta, which was so bad I was shocked, and wasn't expecting it to be great. haven't even considered getting the retail game after that experience.

also the reason I think Portal II came up was because of the reason I disliked the first Portal so much, because it was so repetitive. fair enough it had an interesting concept but Valve pretty much dropped a bomb with using a novel concept to make a game interesting, since it was the only aspect of the game. it was disliked because it was so shallow compared to some other games. ;)

Bad in what way? I found the BF3 Beta excellent, especially the 64 player maps. Reminded me of good old BF2.

I forgot about LA Noire, that's going on my list! It just got soooo boring!

I'd agree with that, if it wasn't for Driver: SA. Mind, I found LA Noire quite good at times, but there wasn't enough extra action, and i'd have liked a more ''80's cop style'' than a 40's one. Bit too distant.

Driver: SA was a very short, barely thought out, shallow, little action, waste of my £40, pile of ****.

edit: I don't think i've seen anyone mention driver yet? How?!

played it on the Xbox, it was just buggy as hell, things that were incredibly annoying like being blinded by a flash-light in a sun drenched street for example, falling through the map on numerous occasions, flickering terrain all the time, seemingly random weapon damage where sometimes sneezing is fatal for an opponent and others multiple shotgun rounds at almost point blank range isn't fatal. don't get me wrong the play is decent for the most part but my experience was ruined by all the problems, problems I know MW3 as an example won't have.

Edit: worse thing of all is people keep saying 'it was a beta...' three weeks before release, other games like Reach, Starcraft II, Gears of War 3 were all much better quality, much further from release so for me it is unforgivable to put up such a weak version of a game and expect it to appeal to people, me buying BF3 pretty much depended on how much I enjoyed the Beta.
