Your worst game this year

Rage, since i was hoping for a Fallout crossed with Borderlands kinda game

BF3, well put simply i think it sucks, still think in online gameplay BFBC2 is better

I've got a number of games that I've not got round to finishing or putting in as much time as I should, it's more that they are not captivating me enough to desperately want to play them, but I don't think that makes them bad.

One which I haven't put too much time into yet, but I'd probably say my candidate for worst game of the year, would be Dead Island.

The trailer was fantastic, obviously it was pre-rendered, but given how much fun the Left 4 Dead games have been, a newcomer Zombie title, set on a huge island seemed like a winner.

The reality though is a miss-mash of other games which looks like it was rushed to the market, this was evident in limited edition content which wasn't ready, plus one of the first quests you come across in the game being broken.

There may be a lot to do, but I'm finding it boring, I've not got much drive to want to play it.

Zero Punctuation summed it up pretty well:

Yup, Yahtzee is usually right on the money.

Frankly I'll be waiting until its extremely cheap in the Christmas Steam sales etc before buying it.

Battlefield 3, CoD clone nowadays but not as much fun.

you mean cod is a BF clone...the list can go on and on

there good in there own ways. for example one is CQC and claims to be "mordern" yet 99% of the guns in it are about 10+ years old and the other is as it says..."battlefield"s

but would love to know why its your personal worse game of this year :p

For me it was Dragon Age 2.
It had me so hyped after loving the first one. It wasn't a terrible game, but it ever so slightly missed each and every mark and that made it even more disappointing.

I'd agree with that, if it wasn't for Driver: SA. Mind, I found LA Noire quite good at times, but there wasn't enough extra action, and i'd have liked a more ''80's cop style'' than a 40's one. Bit too distant.

Driver: SA was a very short, barely thought out, shallow, little action, waste of my £40, pile of ****.

edit: I don't think i've seen anyone mention driver yet? How?!

because your the only one who bought it! :D

Probably got to be Duke Nukem Forever, I played it for 10 minutes, laughed a lot at it, and then turned it off and never played it again.

I have also been holding out buying Forza 4, Batman Arkham City and Battlefield 3, as I just feel that from reading comments about this I will be left disappointed.

I don't know what it is, but with games costing what they do these days (I like to walk in and pick a game up, as online delivery for me recently has been very hit and miss, I pray MW3 doesn't succumb to the same fate as Portal 2) and also having slightly less time now due to having a family, that I am more wary of buying games just 'because' and letting them sit there gathering dust until I get bored of COD, to then play for a few hours, and get bored of them.

Take Forza 4 for example, I know it's going to pretty much the same as Forza 3 with different cars and better graphics, the other day I put Forza 3 in to play and I ended up just looking at the cars and admiring them, and then I turned it off. :o

I know Forza 4 I will spend £55 for the LE and end up doing the same thing, so I haven;t really bothered with it, the only game I *may* look to get is Batman.

I obviously cannot wait to play Uncharted 3, but I need to complete Uncharted 2 first.

Super Monkey Ball on the 3DS. The first on the GC is one of my favourite games and every version since has lost something that made it great. By the time it hit the 3DS there wasn't a redeeming quality left.

aw hell, forgot about Duke Nukem Forever, one of the only games I have played that has absolutely no redeeming qualities, terrible game that took far too long to develop therefore massive fail in my books! plus Duke is really really irritating. :D
