You can download files, although I have never had a video that I downloaded get taken off YouTube so I am not sure if it will stay once its removed.
 
I can’t remember who it was who kept recommending Vanced and I’m too lazy to find out but I tried at first and it needed some other app for it to work so I lost interest, I can’t be arsed with all this third party crap.

Then Youtube decided to turn the ads up to 11 which got very annoying very rapidly so I pulled my finger out and sorted it.

It’s one of those “why didn’t I do this sooner?” things, no ads, can even turn the screen off and lock it whilst listening to music, something I do a lot of. It’s brilliant, if you’re on Android, give it a go.
 
Youtube on android is unusable to me, horrific for ads. Now it's the reason I'll only consider Windows based tablets as I can install the exact same ad blockers.

lol, I just signed up and was going to put in the address for the T-Series HQ, but thought I better not in case other people have the same idea and they end up culling any accounts with duplicate addresses.

Ended up picking a random sweet shop in Mumbai :D

The background play will be useful. The download feature is disappointing though. I was hoping to be able to download the original video file so it can be shared on what's app or used for editing, but it just saves it in a tab in the app which is a bit lame.

Will test it for a couple of months and see how I like it.

There are plenty of Youtube downloaders out there, personally I use Youtube-dlg-gui.

You can install ublock origin on firefox on android, that's what i watch youtube videos on.

I don't, I just watch the usual crap I'd normally watch and soon enough Youtube is shoving it down my throat, it cottons on very quickly.
