YouTube prankster shot (lol)

They only arrest people once they have all the evidence and when they do…you are screwed. They also can hold you 23days without charge, up to 28days with an extension without charge.

And then if they let you go, and then decide to charge you with something else, that’s another 28days…Japanese law is not to be messed around and people in prison do hard labour. It’s not a nice place to be.

It’s very different to western justice system.

Again that isn't filling me with confidence this is a fair judicial system.

What this one

I'm not sure how that helps your argument. Again if you pull a gun, point it at the threat and tell that threat to stay back or you'll shoot you aren't anymore likely to get shot. You are assuming that someone pulls a gun, waves it around and allows someone to take it off them. That isn't what I wrote in my original post and the reason this case went to trial is because he did what you said he should do which is pull and shoot. If you own a gun you should be trained how to use it and pulling it and firing unless your life is in immediate danger should not be your first choice. But hey that is just me and I really hope you don't own any guns.

You are the one who felt the need to try to correct my first post and then keep this going. So don't accuse me of wasting everyone's time.
Yep you are arguing for the sake of arguing. Slow day at work I guess.

No problem let’s end this here.

It sounds like both Japan and the UK need to meet somewhere in the middle on that.

Isn't Brixton a hipster place now? So you're more likely to get a tattoo and lose your socks than you are to get shot?
It has improved, but you need only get up into some groups faces there and you'll pretty much be in need to dash out of there quikly soon enough. That aspect of Brixton hasn't changed.

Good, fully deserved. If someone stuck a phone in my face like that and ignored my warnings I'd also lose it.

I wouldn't have shot the dude obvs, bit extreme, but his phone would certainly be in a different postcode.
You must mean zip code because you can't throw over the ocean with those arms m8 :p

Well yes that's kind of my point, over here you'd likely get a slap/punch for doing that, but to shoot someone is just crazy.

Over here there isn't a good possibility that the person you're about to punch isn't carrying a gun that they're going to use on you after said punch...

High levels of gun carry (in particular concealed carry) do raise the stakes somewhat - not only because if you've got a gun you're obviously more likely to use it, but because there's always the risk your opponent has one, so you aren't going to take any chances that they use theirs first :(

I can't even buy a knife these days without a birth certificate. It's almost impossible to buy Stanley blades online. Decent acid cleaners have almost disappeared. Paint stripper doesn't work any more.

Really though?
