YouTube Premium

I did use to get lots of Indian music on my youtube music feed but that seems to have stopped now. Hopefully they wont get rid of our subs.
my YT Music was all Indian for ages but it seems to have flipped now. I've never used a VPN since I got the premium, but it did go up by a whopping 90p this month :(

It will just be the starting point for the algorithm. If you sign up in India, it will give you Indian music until you tell it otherwise by listening to a handful of non-Indian songs. Being in India is all it has to go on initially.

I managed to sign up via Poland, nothing else seemed to work using different kinds of VPNs. Works out at PLN 46.99 (~£10) a month for YouTube Family. I have a work VPN to various locations to India but I fell at the payment stage where it wanted an Indian address and card otherwise it wouldn't take payment.

Since my Indonesia sub got nuked by them I've just gone back to using Brave Browser on both the desktop and iOS. Works a treat. Can also use Sponsorblock on the desktop too.

It's easy to avoid ads etc on the desktop youtube. My problem is that we don't have "normal tv" in our household so rely on youtube, amazon prime and netflix for viewing stuff on the livingroom TV.

These are on a "Smart tv" so can't get any ad blockers put on there as it's the built in apps on the tv that we use.

Kids need to be able to log into their youtube channel to watch their stuff

So I'm not sure how it works but I've gotten so fed up of ads I installed a dodgy YouTube app on my phone and I have to say the best bit is YouTube playing on a screen overlay.
But between no ads and that overlay screen it means I use YouTube more than I did.

Don't fully understand how it works but it does!

I don't know if it's luck or something but the main TV we watch youtube on in the lounge, has this thing where I can skip most ads with a couple of remote clicks. I'm not sure it's meant to work but it does. This is on an LG OLED. I click the "about this ad" or something like that, click more info, and then stop seeing this ad, then it returns to the video. Sorry I can't remember the exact wording or process off the top of my head. I can do it in about 3 or 4 button presses and takes only 2-3 seconds I would say. Are you guys getting served un-skippable ones all the time?
Sometimes this doesn't seem to be possible though. It's a bit weird.

For mobile phone I'm still using youtube re-vanced. For laptop/desktop I just used ublock origin.

I think they gave me until the 11th to change my card to a "Ukrainian" One but its just renewed today so will have it until November at least.
Forgot I can probably put Revanced on my Google TV at least; uBlock Origin for PC
