I just went in with a few of my "family members" (read: mates), so we're all back paying just a few quid a month.
It looks like they catch you on renewal day so it'll renew for another month and then they fire the email out to tell you you've got a month to give them a local payment card.Mine renewed today thank F.
It does if people forget its playing in the background. If they bring back YT Lite fully. I still think it's abit cheeky to not offer background play. It doesn't cost them anything!
Mine's in land of shahs... . So far I've yet to see many or any cancelled there. It looks like they catch you on renewal day so it'll renew for another month and then they fire the email out to tell you you've got a month to give them a local payment card.
Yes.Got the dreaded email today. Happy to pay full UK price, how do I do that now though? When it runs out will the options revert back to UK prices?
Which country were you using? They finally got me, I'll probably just switch to one of the third party apps now as most of my viewing is done on my phone these days and I don't use music.
Although it sounds promising that they're back to trialling this in some of the "wealthier" countries https://www.androidauthority.com/youtube-premium-lite-returns-3491193/

Find a VPN which works to let you sign up in a cheaper country and then cross your fingers Google don't notice you for a while.Out the loop as I've never used premium before, but interested as I use YouTube religiously on mobile. What's the cheapest way to get a subscription?
I got the "We don't think you live in Argentina" email a couple of weeks ago. I tried several alternatives - Turkey, Egypt among a few others with no luck - however I finally got a family account via Ecuador. Not as cheap as it was via Argentina bit still about a third of a price of a UK family sub.
