YouTube Premium

I take it's that's for iPhone users, who pay through the store?

Basically yep. In short, set up a new Apple account based in Argentina or somewhere cheap, buy gift cards in that currency, then apply those gift cards to Apple account and use that balance to pay for Youtube Premium. that way, Youtube isn't seeing any direct payment information.

Tried to create a Turkish apple account but got stuck at the phone number, when I try to create the account all it says is “can’t create an account at this time”

Anyone had any luck creating a Turkish account?

I had the same issue. Did it via the website in the end and it worked perfectly.

I use youtube everywhere, mobile, tv etc so premium to me is well worth it.
Or just use one of the many methods to get premium on mobile and tv for free
If yous are going to go to the trouble of Turkish/Ukraine VPN cheating whatever it is as you don't want to pay the true price, you way aswell do it properly.

Phone, iPad, TV, work computer, off screen playback, YouTube Music.

The VPN thing I've only had to do it like twice in 4 years. That's it. Whereas using 3rd party apps to get round it you are also doing the same walk-a-mole, with YouTube closing those loopholes, just in a different ways and you have to find a way round in each and every device I listed. The app that you use to get round ads on the computer won't be the same for the TV and not the same app that get music on the phone and not the same app that get it work on a work computer.

If you already subscribe to a VPN service, connect your device to one of the non-monetised countries (Google it) and you shouldn't get any ads. Not a solution if you use offline downloads or background play.

I didn't know this. I just tried connecting to Russia with a VPN, first video played an ad but the next few videos didn't.

I actively avoid watching youtube on my phone or TV app as the ads are so annoying. I pretty much only watch on desktop with an ad blocker. I refuse to pay so much money just to not have ads.

After many, many, many years I've finally been caught.
Luckily my dad has an Indian bank account so will change my card to that and carry on with the low price.
