YouTube Premium

I was thinking of switching to the family plan. I’m currently living in Argentina, but when I go to ‘manage memberships’ I only have the option to cancel. Not switch or upgrade. Is there another way I should be doing it?

    Purchases and memberships.
  2. Tap Get family plan.
  3. Tap Get family plan again.
  4. Confirm the purchase.”

How easy is it to move my country? I'm currently living in India but if I were to cancel my premium and move to a different country would I need a whole new account or just will it just allow me to sub to a different currency?

Same account, make sure your VPN is enabled and your current sub expired date has passed to aviod any issues of payment failing.
 
Thanks to the thread, I got a year using Turkey as the country. my VPN (PIA) doesn't have indian servers in india (something about some privacy law over there), so did the next best one, £13.50 for the year when converted on Revolut.

Honestly, with no ads at all it's a lot lot better..

Can you make a Revolut / Monzo payment using the necessary address in India / Argentina? or will the bank flag the purchase as suspicious as it doesn't match the registered address?
I've tried but can't get past the verify in your banking app step (which I do, but Buy just prompts another verify in the app)

Yes, I used Revolut to pay in Turkish Lira, I did have to validate the transaction twice though, once when I first checked out, then once more through the app, but it all worked, that was using Turkey via PIA VPN.
 
Thanks for the reply. I tried using a one time use virtual credit card, maybe that was the problem. Perhaps the validation counts as the one use and so stops the actual purchase going through. Did you put in a Turkish address also?

Yeah, my revolution is a perm card, just put £30 in the account to limit things, and I was going to pop in a Turkish address when adding the credit card, I used a random address site, but just as I went to add it, the page reloaded and just said ‘turkey’.. like it knew from the vpn location.

Don't even need to clear cookies, just switch countries on VPN and hit refresh in your youtube premium membership screen, price will change immediately.

You can also write a python script to download YouTube videos as well, in case you don’t fancy clicking download links on random websites.

Tbh I should really write such a script for myself. It could throw the videos in iCloud so I can get it on my phone.
