I had the problem some songs would not play or not found on YT Music. Yet these songs were on Google Music before the migration to YT Music. Many others had to this problem.
Kept my Spotify sub because of that.

I managed to migrate all playlists over to YT, albeit manually and slowly over months and had maybe 2 or 3 songs that couldn't be found on YT out of a few thousand.
I'd use Spotifiy again, but not at a tenner a month - i'd bite at a few quid as it is more intergrated into other devices as mentioned by someone else.

have been using premium india for a year or so via revolut, last month payment declined and its not letting me put in new card details or remove the old card (no longer used)

I mentioned earlier I had the same issue a few weeks back, I changed to Turkey and carried on, cheaper than India and no address required.

I'd log into VPN for Turkey, go to YT premium page, refresh to get new currency, then click to update payment method and when it rebills, it'll be for Turkish currency on new card.

I was thinking of switching to the family plan. I’m currently living in Argentina, but when I go to ‘manage memberships’ I only have the option to cancel. Not switch or upgrade. Is there another way I should be doing it?

I have no option to upgrade to a family plan, just the option to cancel under purchases and memberships.
I had the same problem, on the finally day the payment went through without me doing anything.

the only way i can even get to the payment page is via inda settings, if i use turkey its not available, im guessing its because my subscription is still active
might have to wait till it runs out

i ended up buying the 12 month indian sub, not sure why it wont monthly renew anymore but its paid up for a year, will see what happens next year!

Just use your UK bank card.
Add it to your google wallet and then use it to checkout when you connect via a VPN.
No not needed, just sign in with your UK account.

I did India last weekend. Worked out at £14 for the year. Has anybody managed to enable family via India? I did an individual sub 1st....then thought I was upgrading to family but ended up doing another year on my account, so 2 years for £28 so far.

Surfshark doesn't seem to work with india anymore due to their use of virtual locations or something. I tried it to buy a year the other week and it just kept giving me the price in either GBP or EUR depending on it's mood.
Ended up using the free Windscribe to set up in Turkey in the end.

SurfShark are using "virtual" servers which obviously dont resolve to the chosen country properly when it comes to payments.
I bought a free trial (ironic) of ExpressVPN and it works flawlessly.
Renewed for a year. 150kr lol ....
