YouTube Premium

Just realised you can subscribe to channels using the VPN trick too. Though I don't know how to feel about it. One of my favourite channels has a £5 sub that I now pay 20p a month for but feel like I'm cheating them :o
Yeah I pay 80p or something for a channel membership to a channel that streams planes from airports. It is a little cheeky to get the same benefits as everyone else at a fraction of the price but support is support.

Yes FF mobile with ublock completely removes ads just liek on desktop. But it's faffy not being able to use the native app and its features, plus I actually like popup display and background play now lol for the sake of £1.22 a month.

Anyone noticed this on some videos yet? First time seeing it:

I wish it worked for my TV set the ads kick in every couple of minutes sometimes right in mid sentence/drama it drives me nuts

monthly, i will say i did get the visa issue but swapped to mastercard been ok from then
if it was not for my friends using it too i would have the annual sub and i belive you can get it for 2 or 3 years so once paid up its all good for then
I have the annual but would prefer a monthly so i wouldn't have to update it annually via VPN

Is this method still working ? I tried Turkey with Revolt Mastercard but i get the following error code : [or-reh-05]. I used VPN.lat on mobile using Brave browser in the Youtube Website for this process. It did show the turkey currency.

Forgive me for not trawling back through all 28 man-sized pages... I have YT Premium from Turkey (used to be India until last year). This week, my and my family's devices (iPhones mostly) keep popping up when we open the YT app saying 'Not all your YouTube Premium features are available in this region'. Anyone else? I'm assuming there's some special Turkish stuff that doesn't work in the UK, rather than Google catching on and saying 'You're cheaping out, Scrooge - we're going to start showing ads' or something? :p

Those struggling to pay for premium, just add your card details to your google account and use Gpay to complete the transaction when connected to a VPN.

This allows you to use your UK card to pay.

This won't work for me, i have a debit and credit card associated with my google pay account and still geting the same declined message :(

Make sure your VPN isn't using virtual servers.

I wont be renewing surfshark next time because they have started doing this and most of the locations resolve to completely the wrong place.

Same, I signed up to 2 years with Surfshark as it was a pretty cheap deal about a year ago, but none of their servers worked for YT, had to use a completely free one which worked perfectly. Makes you wonder how the free ones end up working better than the paid for ones.

Is YouTube premium worth it? What are the benefits other than no adverts on mobile devices?
Since my original posts in this thread I've discovered that realistically you can get all the benefits from using 3rd party apps, so unless you want to use the built in youtube app on a device with less simple app management such as a TV, it's hard to make a really good case for it as it used to be.

For the faffing abotu with various apps, for £1 a month (indian VPN setup) it's worth just buying the year membership for £12.40 or something when Rupees are converted to GBP
