YouTube Premium

Does anyone know if it's possible to switch from an existing Argentinian package to an Indian one, as i'm thinking of emigrating :D

Edit: My email states my price is going from ARS 179.00/month to ARS 699.00/month. I'm not sure why mine has gone up to a different price to others?

Unless the VPN picked a more expensive server in Argentina when you signed up?! Does Argentina have different prices inside the country?

I don't mind ads as I am getting something for nothing especially I like to do a lot of DIY and learning how to built latest PC hardware. Also it is my part time job so I get paid more if ads is choosen to appears in my videos :P

Don't you get paid more if Premium member watch your video?

An increase for me from approx £1.05 to approx £4.10 is enough for me to consider switching to a cheaper country such as India.

I see youtube are restricting certain high resolution formats to premium only.

It makes sense, you don't need it for a vast majority of people, Phones, Tablet or even a window within a browser, you don't need 4k for that.

How many people actually watch YouTube on a 4K TV? vs the rest above?

I believe the channel gets more money from premium sub-viewers than people who watch the ads. (according to LTT)

I had to move away from India when my card details changed as there was a prompt that my card would be verified by an Indian bank. The page hung after submitting my card details so I gave up.

My channel is only small potato and only 0.5% are return sub, around 200 mark a month from non premium viewers and may be £5 from premium. I also put amazon affiliated link to get more money from US and UK market too.

I thought that this was still in testing. Also if they do, do that; I hope they increase bitrate for the other resolutions. Often switching to 4k is the best way to get a video that doesn't look like mush.

Does India now offer the cheapest YouTube Premium Family account? I was notified of a price hike for my Turkish account yesterday from TRY 25.99/month to TRY 59.99/month.

How are you chaps purchasing YT from India etc. I VPN'd myself over there etc. but as soon as I put any of my cards in it automatically stopped me. I rang up the bank and told them I was in "India" and they unblocked the card, tried again still failed. Its a shame you cant pay via PayPal etc.

My wife signed up for YouTube Premium on her account, which we use to get ad-free viewing on the YouTube TV app for our kids, and YouTube Music for her on her phone and CarPlay in our car.

I didn't bother to get a sub as most of my listening / watching of YouTube is while I'm at my computer, and uBlock Origin avoids the need. When I'm listening to music in the car, I use NewPipe on my Android phone, but I can also use the YouTube mobile website with Firefox and uBlock Origin to get the same effect.

I pay through my Google account which is tied to my UK AMEX, not sure why that doesn't work for you?

My YouTube Family plan is going up from £18 per month to £20 per month. Still worth it to me given how much we all use YouTube and YouTube music.
Same, I've just dropped Spotify Duo and gone with the family version of YouTube Premium, literally signed up two days ago for £17.99 and the following day it went up to £19.99 which was a bit annoying.

I'm finding the YouTube Music app quite good, mind.
