YouTube Premium

£11.99 a month for YT premium is far too much imo.

YouTube could do with a couple of competitors.
Cheaper than a TV licence and more entertaining.

But then I watch lots of YouTube and listen a lot to YouTube music, so I don't mind paying the UK price.

I don't watch live TV, Or any of the rubbish they put on the normal tele so cant relate to TV licence costs.

But still, I find it hard to believe they're not already making enough money as it is (without Subscriptions) Even though i do tend to watch only YouTube Videos I'm happy to watch one or two ads, No problem. But then it gets into the 5 or 6 adds then the actual Youtuber is also adding advertisement segments for brands into their videos it does get a bit stupid...it becomes greed after 2 ads and i tend to stop watching the vid and go watch something else so actually probably negatively affects them!

Are you all getting these price hike emails close to your membership expiring?

Had my YT Premium for 6 months now via India for £13 for the year so 6 months left..

Absolutely no point when i get zero adverts ever with adblock and never asked to white list, also as with spotify its all low res to very low res music, i am looking for a hi res streamer with offline bit perfect android capability to use with my oppo and usb otg and usb dac plus windows 10 on the laptop.
Had a free trial of amazon hd but i am sure windows was messing with the output (direct sound), foobar with wasapi just sounds much much better from and offline hi res fille and i always get the correct led on the dac.
Sorry ive had too much caffine already, anyone compared the asio drivers to wasapi on foobar ? on Moon mans to do list

I think premium boils down to how you consume YouTube. I watch very little actually on my computer but mostly watch/listen on either my LG TV, AppleTV or my iPhone/iPad. It's worth the pennies I pay to not have adds on any of those devices

TBH i do watch YouTube on my tv through a now tv stick, tend to get two short adverts then nothing for the next ten or so ,the itv player on the tv is unwatchable with a ridiculous amount of adverts (i don't have a recording device where i can skip)
