YouTube Premium

I've been playing around with NewPipe and Revanced etc, and it does feel like a lot of hassle. Obviously they're great projects, but it all carries a degree of extra hassle.

What makes it tougher for me is that I'm using YouTube on multiple TVs around the house (of different brands) and I have profiles for the children's stuff as well. Often grandparents will come and watch things with them, and they really cannot cope with multiple inputs, devices etc, so I'm only using TVs with the built-in app.

Even so I'm not paying £20, and £9.30 still feels steep.

If this issue is big enough where YT literally has to do many ban waves and locking down subscribing by VPNs then they need to look at the sodding prices because there's an obvious issue with them being to high to begin with in certain countries. The UK in particular is a massive ripoff.

We’re second only to Switzerland for prices.

Regarding the bans you think they’d want some money rather than none. People subbing through VPNs would probably look for other methods rather than paying.

Yeah I tried that but everytime I get to the premium/membership page it just always asks for £12.99.

I'll have to try on my laptop later I guess.

just renew'd mine using UrbanVPN in Crome with Romania as my new homeland

After trying a few different countries in the VPN ive realised that it is only certain countries that it picks up. I randomly tried a few countries : India,Indonesia,Argentina,Azerbaijan and they all thought i was in the UK still.
