Youtube to end monetization on channels with less than 1,000 subs

Good.

Now maybe all these wasters can actually get a job that's productive to society.
 
I lost out on mine too :( I've also had people claim copyright on my videos, when they had no music on too. And youtube has zero appeals or complaints process. So I had to add their free to play music instead to a video which I had no music.

Useless lot!
 
Do the viewing hours count for partial videos?

If it's a 10min video for example and 2 mins in you've given up watching, does the poster then get 2 mins credited to them?
 
This is good news as it'll weed out the awful rubbish out there. I spent time over Christmas unsubscribing from dross. Hopefully they'll get the message and either come back under a new name and put more effort in, or disappear.
