Z68 Extreme4 Gen3

Hello guys I cant get my pc to boot with XMP enabled in bios? And when I do get it to work if I switch of PC and then try to boot it will freeze on asrock screen only a clear cmos then gets me back into bios or windows?

Am using Corsair Memory Vengeance CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 anyone using this Ram here?

I've just got around to trying out Lucid Virtu in i-Mode on this board and err, I can't see anywhere in the BIOS to select the mode? I've tried setting the Primary Graphics Controller to Onboard but the Lucid Virtu app is still in d-Mode, does anyone know how to use Virtu on this board? I'm clearly missing something!

Cheers,

Craig

From what I recall if you attach your monitor to a discreet card you get d-mode and if you connect it to the Intel outputs you get i-mode, I don't remember having to set anything in the BIOS but you do need the virtual software installed.

Anyone figured out how we can get the USB ports to stop being powered once the PC is shutdown?

My G15 keyboard and aquaero always stay on even after shutdown :(

not noticed that myself, i always use power plug switches for my front room and study, kill all the power when im not using them. everything in my both rooms go to one extension lead in each room and a on off switch, best way for the environment:)

Just set up my new build the other day, which includes one of these and a 2500k with the stock cooler

Anyone fancy walking me through overclocking this? I know it's probably insanely simple, but I don't want to risk using the auto-oc features if it's going to raise the voltage as I am only using the stock cooler.

Haven't dabbled in any overclockery since my A64 3000+

im an oc noob and i just went and used the default overclock for my i7 2600k, should be some in the bios, what cpu you got? i changed mine to 4.4 and rock solid

Thats a strange one buddy! I have the G19 and dont have that problem.

Bit of a wierd one tbh mate. It just pee's me off that the keyboard stay lit up, along with my Aquaero (which uses the internal USB ports) - just wondering if I've missed a trick somewhere in some software setting somewhere.

My 2 yr old son goes nuts on the keyboard if he see's it lit lol!

Try a different usb port for the keyboard maybe! keyboard drivers, try defaulting Bios ect! dont really know about that one, allthough what I've observed with this motherboard is, it doesn't perform aswell as my Gigabyte in Graphical benchmarks.

Might be a better idea to try usb ports for keyboards, not sata ports lol.

Well on these graphical benchmarks the Gigabyte wins 1 out of 6 :D
