Z68 Extreme4 Gen3

The default profile has unnecessarily high voltages - may not bother some people but for those with OCD like myself I hate it :)
true.

I tried the asrock pre set 4.6ghz overclock, when I put it under full load the vcore goes to 1.320v which is fine but when the cpu goes under a small load (18% cpu usage) the vcore goes to 1.380v~ which isn't good.

so I manually done it.

multiplier at 46
turbo power limits 200, 200
additional turbo voltage +0.031
CPU PLL Voltage 1.750v
vcore mode to auto
LLC level to 3.

under full load the vcore goes to 1.312v and when the cpu goes under a small load the vcore goes to 1.320v~, 0.960v idle

Hi, apologies for bumping a somewhat oldish thread but I guess this is the best place to ask.

If its not too much trouble for someone who also owns this board could you post a screenshot of what your Northbridge configuration settings look like? I've got a suspicion that my board is on the way out after it no longer wants to recognise my Crossfire setup (single cards are fine) or output its own video signal :(

im having issues with my USB ports, my xbox pad keeps connecting and disconnecting as does my wireless headphones. anyone got any advise
All of your USB ports? Front headers, back, USB2/USB3? Sounds like some sort of a power issue on the motherboard to the USB ports. Do they work if connected through a self-powered hub?

Have always had USB issues with mine, USB3 ports have never worked and the rest disconnect randomly, no matter what drivers I use. Will have to replace it at some point but at the moment it's not annoying me enough.

My USB3 ports didn't work until I realised I had bent one of the motherboard pins when plugging in the connector; it's not idiot proof apparently. I fixed it with some tweezers and haven't had any problems since.

Are people using the Intel Rapid Storage Technology drivers for this board?

There seems to be plenty of choice - see http://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&keyword=rapid+storage (try ordering by Date and then ignore the "Smart Response Technology Command Line Interface Deployment Tool" results - the first 3 as of 12/3/13).

I've tried several versions of these drivers, but every one creates a 20 second or so delay when coming out of standby when installed. And I use standby a lot. Do you guys get this delay also?

Or maybe the drivers aren't playing nice with my drives. I have a Corsair Force GT SSD and 2 Western Digital hard drives connected.

Thanks for any help.

guys just switched to win8 on this this, having trouble with the below driver. my headset is working but not my optical speakers. although they did before for some reason. what driver am i missing?

Failure to sleep

Does anybody have a very occasional sleep problem with this motherboard? Perhaps once a month or so when sleeping the screen turns off, the fans will stay on and eventually after a few minutes the system restarts, losing the current Windows session (even with hybrid sleep on).

I'm wondering if it is something to do with my 4.6Ghz overclock - has anyone else experienced this? It's the only thing wrong with this otherwise completely stable setup!
