Zen 2 Owners Thread!

Put my order in today for :-

3700X
Corsair h100i Platinum 240mm AIO RGB (was going to get the Kraken x62, but after reading about all the probs with them and the new Ryzens, i passed :p)
Gigabyte Aorus x570 Pro Motherboard
Thermaltake Toughpower Grand Sync 850w RGB PSU
16GB Corsair Vengeance 3200 RGB Ram CL16
2x Sammy 1tb SSDs
MSI 2070 Super Gaming X-Trio
Win 10 Home ( :D)
Phanteks Enthoo Evolv X case in Galaxy Silver.

Already got my Steam and what nots backed up, ready for the transfer :p

If that's a 3700X that's good!

With the more sane weather today, the 3600 is actually boosting to 42.5x multiplier whilst temps stay below 60C with PBO+AutoOC. 41x whilst temperatures stay below 72C.

Single thread continues to be 44x but hits it more consistently now that ambient temps have dropped so much.

Beautiful! it's nice to have the power cable for the gpu way down there. Makes it really clean.
My Sapphire Pulse has the power connectors coming out the side (when looking at the front of the case) instead of the front. That, coupled with the fact that my PCIe power cables aren't very long, means I have to have them run across the card. It means the only little bit of light in my case, the "Pulse" logo, is covered up by cables. :D

Still waiting for my 3600/CL16 RAM, so playing on 1x16GB stick at mo, even with one stick would you expect BFV to stutter whilst playing at 1440P? I was thinking on a 3900X/2080Ti combo even if in single channel the game would be buttery smooth, but so far thats not proving to be the case, running everything maxed and getting 80+FPS but game keeps hitching almost feels like textures etc loading in.

Could be the Ram, no idea other than my 3700x with vega 56 at 1440p doesn't drop a frame with 75hz monitor and is perfect. Never seen even the hint of stutter.

I've got 32GB of the 8pack 3200 memory and can't boot into windows with the xmp profile enabled :/

Have you tried stepping up slowly? So turn the machine on set XMP and set the speed to something low like 2400MHz, save and it should* post.

Back in to BIOS and up the frequency a little to say 2666MHz. Rinse and repeat in small increments.

I've had to do that with my ram.

What mobo you running?

Is it 4X8GB sticks?

x570 gigabyte ultra, yeah 4x8GB sticks.

Haven't tried that but i will now, cheers. :)

Exactly the same mobo as me mate, and I can run hyper X predator 3200 ram perfectly on XMP.

Very strange the issues you’re having. You’re using a 3900 like me aren’t you?

You tried removing two sticks to see if that makes any difference?
Yeah using the 3900x too.

I had 2 8GB sticks first and couldn't run the xmp profile so I stuck another 16GB in but had the same results.

Have you changed any other settings?
