Can anyone show me a country in Africa that has prospered under black majority rule?

In terms of South Africa, do you mean colonial white rule or under the Apartheid era ?

I ask because in terms of the latter, did South Africa ever really prosper ?

Well it might have been all dandy for the white people, but apartheid was hardly great for black people, my granddad had his vineyard taken off him during apartheid because he is black.

Most definitely. Although I'm not sure how successful it'd be. You have the same issue as Iraq. The population has been continually told that Britain and the West is the root of all of Zimbabwe's problems. How is any peacekeeping force going to be able to be effective?

What? Why? Needed to secure the area for the future provision of oil, it wont benefit now, but will 10 years down the line. Or at least that was the intention, I'd assume, might not turn out so good the way things are now.
