Zombicide!

Seems abit strange that they are doing a kickstart for a product that doesn't need help in getting made, I thought that was the point of kickstart.. well its in the name really, to help kickstart a product. But yeah anyway im looking for a zombie game I have no experience in them so unsure on what type id want to play, recommended titles so far are dead of winter and this, which do you think I should look into more?

Who are you going to be playing with? I have no experience of dead of winter, but my main reason for buying Zombicide initially was its co-op.
I game a fair bit with my other half (she isn't really into gaming that much) and playing with her rather than against her is a real bonus, I have other vs games that she won't touch.

Also Zombicide has some amazing support from its creator with add-on expansions of extra survivors, more zombies, zombie dogs (inc companions).
I've already downloaded 20+ extra scenarios from the website for free!
I only have season 1 and there is more than enough to keep me occupied for months/years to come.

Dead of Winter and Zombicide are both great fun and very different. Zombicide is more about gearing up and kicking arse, whereas Dead of Winter is more about planning and narrative. In my mind's eye a hybrid of the two exists and it is truly glorious!

Both are co-op, both are excellently made with quality art work and pieces. Dead of Winter involves no painting of figures - it comes with survivor/zombie cutouts you add to bases - which is a plus or minus depending on what you're into. It also has a betrayal element. Any one of you could be working against the group, or not - it's more likely you're all on the same team - you just don't know! Suspicion is always bubbling under the surface, which is half the fun. The way the story can unfold is very cool too, with random events kicking in when certain criteria are met. Bandits attack the colony - do you fight them off or give into their demands. Someone has a heart attack - can you get them to the hospital etc. It's more gritty, atmospheric and real. Now Zombicide is just pure badass. Chainsaw in one hand and double barrelled shotgun in the other. Different zombies classes, types, vehicles. It's like a great zombie video game in board form. The miniatures are excellent and look great unpainted and amazing when. tbh both deserve a place in any board game collection and both are essential for zombie fans! :D

Rue Morgue: Can a player be dragged out of a flying helicopter by an Abomination?
Can't find anything in the rules.

Edit: We've gone for it being the only time you can't be grabbed

^True

However, the helicopter makes more noise than anything so they are drawn towards it over anything else but shortest distance still takes effect so they still crowd at doors if that's the shortest route.

At least that's our understanding.

very interesting in this as another co-op game to play with the wife

would Season 1 base set be the best place to start? currently £60 seems to be the best price i can find online.
