I've always loved my sci-fi ever since i watched the original Star Trek re-runs (i'm not THAT old!).
I can never get enough, Star Trek (any series), Stargate, 4400, etc, etc, but this last few weeks i've had a reminder of how high the bar was set.
I got my hands on the complete run of Babylon 5, omfg it rocks.
I've got a couple of weeks down time between jobs so i've been kicking the arse out of it and i'm already finishing the 3rd season. Just need a few more hours in the day and i'll be happy

Be joyful in the knowledge that you've experienced the peak of what sci-fi tv has to offer, and shed a tear at the foreknowledge that no other series will ever be able to give you the same high again! I used to love Star Trek when I was a teenager, after seeing Bab5 though I just can't watch it anymore, it seems shallow and puerile.
My standards for plot and characters have risen so drastically because of Bab5 that I can't really enjoy any sci-fi series anymore...
