Its not about it being easier on a keyboard and a mouse than on a controller. Its about enjoying the game, if you want to make it harder you simply select a different difficult level.

You prefer to use the pad then because its harder to aim? And so in saying that, is not as good for aiming as the Mouse and Keyboard, Is that right?

lol yeah it's pretty funny. He plays a game with a inferior control system to make it more challenging. Why don't you poke one of your eyes out too, that'd make it more challenging.

I've actually mentioned just this point quite a few threads on this forum. Easier doesn't equal better. Aiming with a pad is simply slower - just as aiming a gun in real life is also slower.

It's as good an argument as 'if a guy with a mouse played a guy with a pad the mouse user would win and therefore it must be a better control method', which also doesn't work.

What we're really waiting for is a helemt that take instructions straight from the brain and instantly translates them on screen. You just have to look at a bad guy and think kill and it happens. It'd be so much quicker and easier than a mouse and therefore a far better way of playing.

Surely nintendo will just bring out a hat with a sensor on it to do that, the only problem being when you looked up and left, you would no longer be looking at the screen.

It boggles my brain to think of a game controlled by mind control.

I asked you why you're still here if you feel that it's just "an Overclocking forum, a forum for PC elitists." There are many other forums out there, and many of them cater specifically toward console gamers.

I cannot believe the banter on here, her I was trying to start a debit about the potential of the Cell BE and weather it’s near super computer (theoretical) number crunching capabilities could help the PS3 be innovative...

I don’t post near as much as I used to in either of the gaming sections on these boards and really its all this almost uncontrollable bickering that has dampened my spirit, what happened to really informative and helpful intelligent individuals on these forums starting, and giving really helpful and useful information?

I don't think you're looking too much into it at all, I think he expects me (or someone else) to defend PC gaming and fight with him. I'm not going to give him the satisfaction, he's shown everyone what he is now.

He'll no doubt deny this in his next post, if he replies at all.

Because, at the time it was. It was then parted into 2 sections, PC Gaming and Console gaming which, until the influx of recent, close-minded PC gamers worked in perfect harmony.

Not at all, I'd be much happier if PC gamers kept PC gaming related posts to the PC section. I don't go into the PC section trashing PC gaming, so why do PC gamers feel it's okay to do it?
You really think I want to 'fight' with you over Consoles and PC's? Why would I? I game on both and I see the positives in both. I have nothing against M&K or control pads. I have nothing against PC's or consoles?

And what have I shown myself to be?
I'd be quite interested to know. I have merely defended the use of a control pad in the console section...

yeah challenge in overcoming the controls.

I prefer how i control the player to be as natural and easy as possible. That way if i die its the game which killed me and not the controls.

The challenge should be in the game not a cumbersome control system which detracts from gameplay.

Some games benefit from controller (racing, sports) some games benefit from mouse +keyb (fps)

example: I would find it pretty difficult to play Heavenly Sword with keyb+mouse to be honest.
