torres is a sicknote ;) only joshing, but i think he was talking about who you have available after torres to be honest.
 
If thats what he meant then he could have said that Chelsea and Arsenal desperately need a striker too so I don't think thats what he meant.
 
i honestly do think that's what he meant though, i don't think he was trying to wind you up. no one would ignore torres and no one would say that he hasn't been good for you so far. I personally think both Chelsea and Arsenal need another striker but Arsenal have been scoring goals for fun and i Chelsea have operated how they have very successfully for a while now. You on the other hand turn into an entirely different proposition while torres is playing and while that's good in a way it's also a bit worrying in case of injury.

Its easy to say that Arsenal are finding goals easy to come by while they're in form but when they're not who's going to come up with the odd goal to win them the tight games while RVP is out? Chelsea had that problem early in the season when Drogba was out, neither Chelsea or Arsenal have any greater strength in depth up top than we do.

From the comments he's made i really do think that either he hadn't been watching us much since Torres signed or even that we signed him.

heh dude i think you are over reacting, and you know i have some expertise in recognising when someone is just trolling about liverpool ;) having reread his comments he does say chelsea need to get rid of dead wood and get someone in to help drogba with the goalscoring duties. he says united need a new striker as well, maybe i'll give you there seems to be rose tinted specs in regards arsenal but RVP is out at the moment and they're still scoring. I'm not saying i agree with all he's wrote but i don't think it's particularly anti liverpool.

We just need another Larsson type signing to see us through I think. Anelka was perfect in the summer and he's still perfect now I reckon. Fergie obviously doesn't though.

I don't think he's trolling or anti Liverpool at all, i just genuinely think he hasn't been watching Liverpool or much football in general (him believing your post about Eto'o added to that feeling). And the comment about Drogba needing support was why i doubted whether he even knew we signed him as he could have said Torres needed help etc.

hang on, do you honestly believe Barca aren't paying us 5million + eto'o for Saha? ;)
 
Man Utd are still a striker short if we swap Saha - and I have no doubt it WONT be eto'o either :D (great bubblewrap joke)

I think Simpson will be great - but someone to push WB now would be fabulous also (even though Wes has actually been pretty good recently imo should start Wednesday with Richards going into the centre). GN isnt going to be back for a while yet it seems :(
 
Not sure how much this counts as a transfer rumour, but one of my friends works in Durham Uni and Hartlepool United train there and eat their lunch in the canteen and today there is a new guy there who is a big black French fella. Apparently he is with Chris Turner (HU's former manager). Thinking CT is now an agent.

Yes because Patrick Vieira is the only big black French man!! You really think Vieira would go from Inter Milan to Hartlepool.

He's injured at the moment too :)
