Diablo3 !!!!!!!!!!!!

Just out of interest, what level did you get to and what makes you say that levelling up in TQ is non rewarding? Levelling up in TQ is exactly the same as Diablo. Although in TQ you get to choose from two different specialist classes to level up, not forgetting your attribute stats.

Because you gain a fair amount of the skill at level 1 (say 25%) and only a tiny increase for each additional point, and the skill trees are caps at about 10 points per skill. There are few synergies, and what there are don't really help much. I spent a fair amount of my time wondering whether any of my skills were worth advancing beyond level 1.

The last attempt at a D2 clone by Blizzard, Hellgate:London, had even more nerfed skills. And again you never felt you were gaining anything when you advanced skills. The Blizzard team said it was to avoid cookie-cutter builds, and to force players to swap the skill in use a lot. Sorry, but it's my decision as a player how often I swap skills. But this leaves me worried how nerfed the skills in D3 will be.

But TQ had one huge advantage over D2: you could buy back skill points and re-invest them (within certain limits).

well just read trough a thread and say he was just taking a **** so not worth trying

How many times are you going to get sussed for swearing?

depends what pc you have now.
blizzard always making games for loads of masses so i dont think u will need a monster pc to run it good.

i would say something like e2180 2 gig of ram (ram is cheap this days easily upgradeable to 4 gig if u run vista) and something like 8800gt 4850/ 3850 should run it on max depends on res of course i think the game will be dx10 might aswel upgrade to vista if u did not yet

My current build is an Athlon 64 3500, 2 gig ddr2 ram and a 6800GT (AGP) so I'll be building a completely new pc in the near future I'm sure, the 4850/70s are very tempting :)

That build wouldn't struggle too much with Diablo 3 I reckon. The graphics don't exactly look amazing and I'm sure when it's released nearer the time they won't have improved that much.

This thread has mentioned a release date in 2010 a couple of times....surely not!!?? thats ages away yet :(

No hint of a release date on the official site anyway..

Gameplay over graphics ANY day!
I just went and bought D2 and its expansion and it still looks good.
Hell its got amazing gamplay and very good character motions, considering it's age :D

D3 will be amazing if they kept true to the originals.

I would have thought a game like this would be great on x-box live. I mean as long as its designed around the PC and then ported over I don't see any conflicts and it would bring in loads of extra revenue for Blizzard.

if anything i thought it could have been on the ps3 seems so there is mouse and keyboard support over there, diablo was also on the ps1 if i remember

we have also seen with xbox live it takes a while to get patches approved ffrom Microsoft and they like to charge for extra content

i definatly agree, i think as long as a certain standard of graphics is maintained it adds to the experience but i would choose a game with mediocre graphics with a brilliant gameplay/storyline anyday

and that means what ? that it'll be direct x9 or direct x 11 or something else ? does that mean it wont be out till whatever it uses is released ? expand please

Its means what i said it means. It wont be DX10. The video sure doesn't look like DX11. I can't predict the future so im guessing its DX9.

Blizzard have always been advocates of making games that any half-decent system can run well. DX10 goes against their typical attitude as it tends to cripple performance for most, thus, it'll be DX9.
