The SI Forums are down which I reckon is a hint. They are moving the forum storage from Seattle to London on their own servers (or at least Sega's). Also changing to a new forum software. I reckon they might give some info about FM09 on Thursday when the forum is due to be back up. However they've said late August but normally they announce the new game and its details and then a week or two weeks later give us a demo to play with. Perhaps FM09 to be announced in late August and then the demo out mid-October with a release date of late October or early November.
 
Argh i hate chairman accepting bids.

Had a few £15m bids for Van der Vaart, but dont wanna sell him, so declined.

Then suddenly get a £10.75m+ incentives from Palermo, and he accepts it automatically, ffs hes one of my main players :/.

Great, now hes gone...theres no-one i can replace him with for that money, FFS.

Got Jimenez, but need another AMC, thinking Arshavin as hes versatile..not sure though, need someone as good as him.

Budget of £32m for AMC and a GK. Or i use Augusto there, and get a new AML or AMR.

Where did you play VdV? Left wing? I recommend Van Persie if you can afford him. I just got Huntelaar for £22m (what am I, made of money, grr) and him and Adebayor are on fire, so stuck Van Persie on the left to see how he'd do, and he's brilliant, very consistent.

If you still need a GK, Oscar Ustari has a low-ish release clause iirc?

Also I notice you have Bojan in your team- anyone else found it difficult to sign him? He's been running out of contract at Barca for ages now, not signed a new one with them so available to 'approach to sign'. I've complimented him loads, expressed interest, even signed his bloody Dad as a scout! But he's unwilling to accept any offer I make :mad::(

Yep. Impossible to sign. I signed his Dad as a scout to tempt him over as well. Didn't work.
 
I was playing VdV AMC.

GK ive signed Hugo Lloris, i just went on a bit of a spree though..

Jeremy Mathieu is a utility man, will replace Konchesky with him, and backup to Marcelo.

Vurnon Anita is because Sneijder recommended him, as to keep him in my team signing player he wants.

Thiago Neves is a good AMLC, so can rotate Menez and a few others now.

Roy Makaay is still a good player, and recommended by huntelaar, so i got him to keep Huntelaar. He is now going to be my backup too.

Lulinha, good AMC and AMR, still 17/18 so good prospect.

Hugo Lloris will replace everyone and have a good rotation of keepers, hes also young which is good.

Arshavin pretty obviously, to play anywhere and be a direct replacement of VdV.
 
I hate this part of the season, my team is wanted :(

Kompany now gone due to release clause at £13.75m

Had various offers for Marcelo at £14.25m but rejected.

Akinfeev, Sneijder, Rossi all wanted, and Juve is where they wanna go.

Omg Chairman accepted offers again at £22.75m for Sneijder :mad:. AND NOW MARCELO :mad:.

Sneijder gone for £22.5m for Villareal :(

Marcelo to Liverpool (great an english club) for £20m :(.

Rossi gone to AC Milan at £30m.

Also offered £15m for De Silvestri, do i accept?

Who's your 2nd choice DR, Volz? I don't know what De Silvestri is like, but I think you could pick up Eduardo Ratinho as a replacement for less than £15m

Damn you Bojan (for the 5th time) - he just turned down £120,000/week wages and a £4m signing on fee. Speaking of which, what's the highest wage you guys are paying? Fabregas just negiotiated me up to £100,000 per week the other day, greedy beggar.

Hmm im losing a lot of players, Bojan now wants to go.

Looks like these will be joining Marcelo, Rossi, Van der Vaart, Sneijder, Kompany, De Silvestri etc;

Akinfeev - £30m GONE :(
Bojan - Not Sure
Navas - Not Sure
Jimenez - £30m+Perotta or £30-50m

Need a new main ST now, to go with Huntelaar once Bojan is gone.

Also a new AML/AMR too.

Grrr.

And grrr even more, losing 5-0 in first game cos ive lost all my best players.

Im having to play Collins John because Huntelaar is injured, Bojan is injured and Guilherme is on international duty. My word this season is going to be a tough one.

Highest wage is £48k which is Jeremy Menez.

Got £113m to spend now, lol.

Gotta buy;

DC, AMR if Navas goes, ST and perhaps an AML.
